YOUNG GUN: After placing Tuesday's scheduled starter, RHP Will Carter, on the disabled list (blister), the Tarpons added 19-year-old RHP Deivi Garcia from Extended Spring Training. Garcia fell one out shy of qualifying for the win, tallying 7K's in 4.2IP (2H, 2R/1ER, 3BB, HB). Signed out of the Dominican Republic on 7/2/15, Garcia enters the 2018 season ranked by MLB Pipeline as the Yankees No. 15 prospect and by Baseball America as the Yankees No. 24 prospect. WAGNER NAMED ALL-STAR: On Tuesday, the Florida State League announced that Brandon Wagner has been added to the North Division Roster of the 57th FSL All-Star Game. Wagner replaces Clearwater honoree Darick Hall after Hall was promoted to Double-A Reading on 6/1. Wagner becomes the eighth Tarpons player named an all-star. VS. ST. LUCIE: Tonight will be the seventh of 11 scheduled meetings between the Tampa Tarpons and St. Lucie Mets. St. Lucie currently leads the season-series, 4-2.
