RAY MATTER The Rays have won 4 straight games, matching their longest winning streak of the season (fourth time, last June 3-6) a victory tonight would be their first 5-game winning streak since April 22-26, 2015 and match the longest under Manager Kevin Cash yesterday the Rays completed a 3-game sweep of the Yankees, their first home sweep of the season, third sweep overall (also May at TOR, May 6-8 at LAA), their first sweep vs. NYY since June 30 July 2, 2014 (3 games at NYY) and first sweep vs. NYY at home since the Opening Series in 2012 (April 6-8, 3 games). The 4-game winning streak comes on the heels of 4 straight one-run losses the Rays are 8-5 over their last 13 games with a 2.46 ERA (117-IP, 32-ER) following their worst-ever 3-24 stretch that sent them from (5.5 GB) on June 16 to (19.5 GB) on July 16.
