Steinbrenner Field Tampa, FL 6:30 p.m. Game #61 Home Game # 35 Radio: TuneIn Radio (Tampa Tarpons) Phone App: MiLB First Pitch YESTERDAY'S NEWS: For the second-straight night, the Tarpons won by a margin of 4-1 Tampa earned the series win, taking 3-of-4 over the St. Lucie Mets to even the season-series, 4-4 RHP Adonis Rosa (W, 6-1) tallied a season-high 7K while holding the Mets scoreless for 6.0IP (5H, 0BB, 1HB) Ben Ruta (2-for-4, 3B, 2B, 2R) doubled and scored in the 1st before tripling and scoring in the 3rd Isiah Gilliam (2-for-4, RBI, R) and Dom Thompson-Williams (3-for-4, RBI, SB) added RBI singles in the 6th Diego Castillo (1-for-3, RBI, Sac-B) singled home Ruta in the 3rd and extended his hitting streak to six games Brandon Wagner (2-for-4) logged his second-straight multi-hit game RHP Brian Trieglaff tossed 2.0 scoreless frames (1H, 3K) RHP Matt Wivinis allowed the lone St. Lucie run in the 9th (1.0IP, 2H, 1ER, 0BB, 2K). ROSA: On Thursday, RHP Adonis Rosa turned in his most impressive start of the season, tallying a season-high 7K without issuing a walk over a scoreless 6.0IP (5H, 1HB). The 23-year-old began the season used as both a reliever and a starter but has since remained in the rotation, allowing just 1ER in his last 15.1IP over his last three outings. 16-STRAIGHT: After allowing five base runners in the first two innings on Wednesday, RHP Nick Nelson cruised through the rest of his start, retiring the final 16 batters he faced. The 22-year-old has thrown back-to-back scoreless outings, totaling 11.1IP. VS. BRADENTON: Tonight will be the fourth of 16 scheduled meetings between the Tampa Tarpons and Bradenton Marauders. Tampa swept the three-game set when the teams first met at LECOM Park on 4/ YOUNG GUN: After placing Tuesday's scheduled starter, RHP Will Carter, on the disabled list (blister), the Tarpons added 19-year-old RHP Deivi Garcia from Extended Spring Training to make a spot-start. Garcia fell one out shy of qualifying for the win, tallying 7K's in 4.2IP (2H, 2R/1ER, 3BB, HB). Signed out of the Dominican Republic on 7/2/15, Garcia enters the 2018 season ranked by MLB Pipeline as the Yankees No. 15 prospect and by Baseball America as the Yankees No. 24 prospect. WAGNER NAMED ALL-STAR: On Tuesday, the Florida State League announced that Brandon Wagner has been added to the North Division Roster of the 57th FSL All-Star Game. Wagner replaces Clearwater honoree Darick Hall after Hall was promoted to Double-A Reading on 6/1. Wagner becomes the eighth Tarpons player named an all-star. HOPE WEEK: The Tampa Tarpons will continue HOPE Week today.
