RAY MATTER The Rays cruised to a 12-1 victory last night, their most runs scored, hits (16) and largest margin of victory since Aug 16, 2016 vs. SD (won 15-1, 16 hits) they were one out away from their second shutout of the season (April 25 at BAL) last night snapped a 3-game losing streak for the second consecutive night, every player in the Rays starting lineup recorded a hit, the first time they have done that in back-to-back games since Sep 2-3, 2012 (at TOR, vs. NYY). Last night was only the Rays seventh win of the season that did not require a comeback they are in their last 24 games despite holding a lead in 23 of those 24 contests they have 14 come-frombehind losses, tied with the Angels for most in the majors.
