18 Grand Slam Fall League Official Rules - All Iowa High School Baseball Rules apply except for run rules. Those will be handled at the coaches discretion. - 3 pitches between innings (2 and throw down). - Each team will consist of no more than 13 players. - Each team will play at least 6 games (via rainouts), 8 official games are scheduled (7 regular season and one playoff game). There is a potential to play 11 games. - In the event of rainouts in the Playoffs, the first scheduled round of games for that weekend will be skipped and the higher seed will advance. - 9 innings of play or 2 hour and 15 minute time limit, whichever comes first. There will be no time limit for the Playoffs. - If the time limit hasn t been reached and a game goes to extra innings, no change of play will occur. Continue play as normal. - If a game is tied at regulation in regular season, the tie breaker will go to whichever team scored the most runs first. Example: Team 1 scored 3 runs in the second inning and Team 2 scored 1 run in the second inning, Team 1 would receive the win. - 2 certified umpires will be present at each game. - 1 certified Head Coach per team. - All field decisions are made by each individual site s Board of Directors and they will have the final say in determining whether games are played. Grand Slam does not make any final decisions on games being played. - In the event of a rainout we will attempt to reschedule games, given field availability. We will not guarantee each rainout will be made up. - Check our website, Facebook, and Twitter for decisions made on rainouts. 18
