2 Rio Hondo College Basic Fire Academy Class 83 Schedule This schedule meets or exceeds the minimum requirements for Firefighter-1 Academy set forth by the Office of the California State Fire Marshal, State Fire Training. This schedule is subject to change at anytime by the Fire Academy Coordinator. All requests for schedule changes must be approved by the Fire Academy Coordinator. Cadets may miss only 19 hours of FAC 118, Basic Fire Academy. No time may be missed during FSTEP or Co-requisite courses. Cadets who become injured and are not able to continue based upon a Medical Doctor s diagnosis, will be dropped immediately. This course is arduous and physically demanding, and requires that the Cadets be in good physical condition. ICS IS-100, 200, and 700 must be completed by each Cadet by July 30, These courses can be taken online. Please click on the links to the Incident Command Courses at the bottom of the Fire Academy webpage. ( Cadets will arrive and be ready with all equipment by 0600, unless otherwise noted.
