Hw will the funds we raise fr the 2018 race be used? UCP has recently been awarded grants frm the Centracare Fundatin and the Bentn Telecmmunicatin Fundatin fr ur Assistive Technlgy Mbile Experience Center. These grant funds will allw UCP t purchase, custmize and staff a travel trailer that will prvide assistive technlgy demnstratins and educatin, in a real-life envirnment, acrss Central MN. The Assistive Technlgy Mbile Experience Center will allw thse with disabilities easy access t cutting-edge assistive technlgy and will als prvide pprtunities t test the technlgy, experiment with varius cmbinatins and find slutins with case managers and health care prfessinals in real time. Fr many peple, these persn-centered, real time, real life slutins have been cmpletely ut f reach and nw, thrugh the Mbile Center, these slutins will becme reality. All this prject needs in rder t be 100% cmplete is funding t purchase the assistive technlgy equipment that will be placed in the Mbile Experience Center. S this year, the funds raised thrugh Stuck In Mtin will be used t purchase that assistive technlgy. Help us reach ur fundraising gal f $20,000 and the Mbile Experience Center will be 100% cmplete and n the rad in the Spring f Hw des Stuck In Mtin wrk? Teams and riders raise cntributins fr their participatin in the event. Each rider is asked t raise at least $100 and encuraged t raise as much as pssible! These cntributins are cllected and turned in the day f the race, cmbined with each riders nline dnatins. Then we race fr prizes and t raise awareness in ur cmmunity. T make things even mre fun, businesses spnsr mile markers and sprints thrughut the race. As teams reach these markers and win sprints additinal funds and/r bnus miles are added t each teams ttal! 3 Stuck In Mtin - Stage Map 2018 Stuck In Mtin is a race acrss nine stages. STAGE ONE STAGE TWO Teams switch riders as ften as needed, with a few exceptins nted belw, t win each stage. Teams are awarded pints fr their finishing rank in each stage. Each stage is spnsred by a lcal business. These spnsr dllars are credited t a team s fundraising ttal if they win a stage. Additinal pints are awarded fr trivia questins (during each stage). Additinal pints are awarded fr team spirit! Yur team must cmpete in every stage. 8 Miles 5 Miles Be strategic Pick stages that match yur team s strengths! STAGE THREE 5 Minute Sprint Teams must use nly TWO riders during this sprint. 4 NOTES FOR PARTICIPANTS On Saturday, January 27, 2018 UCP f Central MN (United Cerebral Palsy) will hst the sixteenth annual Stuck In Mtin Statinary Bike Race at Rejuv Medical in St. Clud. Participant s respnsibilities: Make sure yur infrmatin is crrect n yur team s fundraising page at ucpcentralmn.rg. Yu can direct supprters t this page fr nline cntributins! Fundraise! Use facebk, ask c-wrkers, see if yur emplyer will dnate r match yur effrts. Cllect all cash cntributins frm dnrs prir t race day Prizes are awarded based n mney turned in n race day with exceptin f crprate matches Turn in all cllected cash cntributins t registratin n race day, allw a few extra minutes fr this prcess (use the dnatin tracking frm). Yur nline dnatins will be added t yur ttal at check in. Make sure yur captain has a signed participant waiver frm yu r fill ne ut at registratin. Filling yur waiver ut ahead f time will speed up registratin! If yu are the first member f yur team t race, please be ready t begin prmptly at yur scheduled time. All participants must raise a minimum f $100. Yu will receive a T-shirt n race day. Prizes/medals will be awarded at 2pm!
