With a choice of more tha 100 extraordiary rides, the Bike MS experiece is the ride of your life. GOALS Through atioal efforts ad our 50-state etwork of chapters i local commuities, we brig ew ad seasoed cyclists to Bike MS rides who share a love of cyclig ad helpig others. More tha 110,000 cyclists come together each year to challege themselves, raise vital fuds ad fuel their passio for cyclig year roud. WHAT THAT MEANS Each ride i the Bike MS series offers uique local flavor, while maitaiig a well-orgaized, fully-supported ad cosistetly extraordiary overall experiece. The Natioal MS Society offers fudraisig ad traiig assistace, as well as a cosistetly high level of safety ad support o the ride. Bike MS brigs people together as idividuals ad as teams to coquer a challege ad share a uforgettable experiece with frieds, family ad coworkers, all while raisig moey to make a differece i the lives of people affected by MS. The challege ad camaraderie created by Bike MS makes it the team-buildig evet of choice for corporatios ad orgaizatios, ad gives them a uique opportuity to move forward together toward a world free of MS. BIKE MS: THE FACTS Bike MS is the largest orgaized cyclig series i the coutry. There are 100 Bike MS rides aroud the coutry. 3 Presidet s Message This sposorship packet for the Mid Florida Chapter of the Natioal Multiple Sclerosis Society will provide you with iformatio o various sposorship opportuities with our orgaizatio. I additio to persoal stories that call attetio to the debilitatig effects of MS ad the eed for research ad support for those affected, this packet offers Cetral Florida busiesses/ corporatios support for our sigature evets ad programs. Multiple sclerosis is a chroic, degeerative disease of the cetral ervous system that typically targets adults betwee the ages of 20 to 50 affectig more tha twice as may wome as me. MS affects more tha 400,000 people i the Uited States, ad 2.5 millio worldwide. The severity of symptoms varies greatly amog idividuals, but the commo result is that whatever form symptoms take, people with MS are vulerable to the uexpected, which makes movig forward i life difficult. Our call-to-actio, Joi the Movemet, is desiged to raise public awareess of the fact that MS robs people of the ability to move, disablig some, ad that actio is eeded to raise fuds for research while improvig the quality of life ad idepedece of those livig with MS. OVER THE YEARS, THE EVENT HAS RAISED MORE THAN $23 MILLION TO FUND MS RESEARCH AND PROVIDE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES TO THE MORE THAN 10,000 PEOPLE WHO ARE LIVING WITH MS IN CENTRAL FLORIDA. THIS YEAR, BIKE MS: THE CITRUS TOUR WILL TAKE OFF FROM FANTASY OF FLIGHT IN POLK CITY AND WIND THROUGH THE ROLLING FLORIDA COUNTRYSIDE WITH VIEWS OF OUR STATE S WORLD-FAMOUS ORANGE GROVES. THE DAY ENDS AT THE OMNI ORLANDO RESORT AT CHAMPIONSGATE WITH A CELEBRATION, DINNER BANQUET AND REST. THE NEXT MORNING, CYCLISTS RIDE BACK TO THE FINISH LINE AT FANTASY OF FLIGHT WHERE A CELEBRATION AWAITS. EACH PARTICIPANT MUST RAISE A MINIMUM OF $250 ALTHOUGH MOST WILL RAISE MUCH MORE.
