2 GENERAL INFORMATION Vulnerable road users such as pedestrians, cyclists and riders of powered two-wheelers (ptw s) and their passengers account for arround 46% of the 1.2 million global road traffic deaths every single year. In some countries this number goes upto a staggering 80%. As a result of these schocking statistics, there is an increasing focus on vulnerable road users in term of urban design, traffic management as well as automotive safety. In the field of intelligent transport systems, the Traficon Traficam C-Walk and SafeWalk have been designed to buck this worring trend. As Traffic in our cities becomes denser every day an optimal througput at intersections is crucial to guarantee smooth traffic. In addition, knowing the flows and density of its traffic helps optimizing traffic management. Traficon has a whole range of video detection based products that help to better manage traffic at intersections and measure traffic flows to fine tune traffic management. OBJECTIVES Participants learn to work with the Traficon sensor product range. They learn about the features of the TrafiCam, TrafiCam x-stream, TrafiCam Collect-R, TrafiCam C-Walk and SafeWalk. Throughout the workshop participants, practice the configuration of each of these products. 5 REGISTRATION FEE The full fee for a single registration is 750. Registration includes: Course notes, 2 business lunches, morning and afternoon coffee break, Traficon CD-ROM, accommodations for 2 nights (including breakfast), 1 dinner Group Discounts Traficon offers a discount of 100 from the second registration on for participants from the same organization. ( 650) CANCELLATION If you have to cancel your registration, your fee will be refunded in full if we receive your cancellation request in writing no later than 14 working days prior to the course. Cancellations or non-arrivals after this date will be liable for the full fee. Of course, the alternative is for another member of your staff to represent you. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF REGISTRATION On receipt of your completed registration form, your registration will be acknowledged in writing with an invoice. The registration becomes definite only after payment of the registration fee. Joining instructions, a map and a more detailed schedule will be sent to each delegate approximately 1 week before the event.
