2 TERMS AND CONDITIONS How To Book: Forward a completed booking form, a copy of the front page of your passport, and a non-refundable deposit of $300 per person. Your space will not be secure without these 3 items. Final payment will be due 6 weeks prior to departure. 13 April 18 Cancellations: If Wildside Travel cancels the trip, for reasons beyond our control, you are due a full refund of all monies paid. If you wish to cancel, your monies paid will be refunded less the $300 nonrefundable deposit up to 6 weeks prior to departure (and before ticket issue). After this date no refund will be given. We recommend you take out cancellation insurance to cover loss of deposits Insurance: We highly recommend you take out Travel Insurance to cover all unforeseen circumstances which can arise without warning. Wildside offer policies from Kiwi Holiday Insurance at the stated rate of $65 for 7 days based on 55yrs and under. $75 for years, $89 for years $95 for up to 70 years etc. Indicating existing medical conditions will also attract additional premiums. Prices: All prices are based on 2018 rates given by service providers and are subject to increases up until the time of full payment (a rare scenario however). Travel documents: All participants must be in possession of a valid passport (valid for 6 months after the date of your return) and all visas, permits required for your passport type. It is ultimately your responsibility to have the necessary documentation to travel. New Zealand passport holders do not require a visa for Niue, if you have another type of passport, please let us know. Ride the Rock: This social 40km cycle race starts at the top of the island and works its way to the bottom in 5 stages. Each participant will be started at 1 minute intervals, race through approx 8km of bush trail being clocked from start to finish. You then move to the next 8km section and start again. No-one will know who has won until all sections are added together at the end! If you do not wish to participate in the race, it does not jeopardise your inclusion on the trip. There will be alternative Labour Day celebration events to attend Round the Rock: This 60km race is one of pure speed and endurance. Starting and finishing in the main town, with the ride circumnavigating the outer ring road of the island. First one back has bragging rights! The road is sealed but not of high quality and Road bikes are not advised.

Bikes: We encourage you to take your own bike to Niue. If you wish to hire a bike, we can advise you on these, and book on your behalf. (paid directly to providers in Niue) Please ask us for a quote.

(paid directly to providers in Niue) Please ask us for a quote. Do note these are leisure bikes rather than race machines. You have 23kg free luggage allowance plus a 7kg carry on bag. Many travellers are good at minimal travel and can get themselves and their bike to Niue without extra charges. However, if you prefer a bag and a bike box to be checked through the second piece of luggage (bike) will be charges at $120 in each direction from your origin port( i.e. Nelson). Niue flights are weight restricted and extra bags cannot be pre-purchased. The $120 charge is paid at the airport. Food: Feel free to bring your favourite dry-goods and snacks with you. Fresh produce can be purchased on the island i.e milk, yogurt, salad veges. You can bring in frozen meat from home (BBQ s) wrapped in your checked luggage. Accommodation: Matavai Resort ocean Rooms $1295 per person Twin/ Double $1090 per person Triple-share Resort Ocean Rooms Includes tropical continental Breakfast for 2 guests. Each Ocean Room offers magical views of the Pacific Ocean and the Resorts own tropical gardens from a private balcony. Ocean Rooms boast a split super king bed with luxury mattress topper for extra comfort. Room amenities include: Air Conditioning, Sky TV, Minbar, Toiletries, Hairdryer, In-room Safe, Tea & Coffee making facilities, telephone, ipod docking station, Bathrobes, ironing facitlites. Accommodation: Kololi Motels Kololi is just a 2 minutes walk from the main shops, cafes and restaurants in Alofi, and situated off the main road in private tropical surroundings.

Motels are self-contained Units. All units have nicely appointed Bathrooms, are insect screened.

4 Accommodation: Kololi Motels Kololi is just a 2 minutes walk from the main shops, cafes and restaurants in Alofi, and situated off the main road in private tropical surroundings. Plenty of room for bike tweaking, and the wharf right across the road is ideal for swims on all tides. And of course, you have your bikes with you...the whole island is accessible! Motels are self-contained Units. All units have nicely appointed Bathrooms, are insect screened. All units also have cooking facilities: stove tops, microwave, fridge/freezer, TV/DVD and multiple ceiling fans. (no A/c). All bedding and towels provided, but bring your own Swim towel. 3 x 2 bedroom units = 1 double bed, 2 twin beds Single/Double and Twin Rooms are also available at the Guest house The units will be share-arrangements. If you would like a private unit, please get in touch, we have other options down town. Alofi Township The main town of Alofi has a well stocked supermarket, duty free liquor and a variety of restaurants (Indian, Pizza, Sushi and local style food) and several bakeries. You will have the use of a van while at the units, and of course you have your bikes with you...so the whole island is accessible!! Money: Everything is in NZD$ and its a good idea to being plenty of cash. VISA is the ONLY accepted Credit Card on the island. While some businesses accept credit cards, many don t. There is one bank in Niue, and they offer cash withdrawals against your Visa credit card if you are caught short (and with substantial fee). If Mastercard is your only option the Niue Tourism Office will do cash-withdrawals for you, again at a rate of their choosing. Clothing / Medical: Expect temperatures around degrees during the day. Cotton shirts, shorts and dresses are the most comfortable. Sandals and jandals are perfectly adequate in the evening along with a long sleeve T or sweatshirt in the evening carried, but not always worn. A sturdy shoe or sandal for hiking craggy rocks, and reef shoes recommended for swimming daytime. Bring your own Snorkel gear, flippers can be hired (remember weight restrictions you have bike and bike gear to consider too).

5 Med kit: Betadine for coral cuts or abrasions a good idea. Cotton plasters and powder antiseptic are the best good combination in the tropics. Insect replant for evening. Sunscreen for the bike and swimming. Hydrolytes for biking and hiking days. Bikes: Packing notes will be provided, if you ve not travelled with a bike before. You will need to bring tools and repair kit, spare tubes etc. No bike shops on Niue. Travelling with a bike box and 1 checked bag constitutes as 2 bags and will be charged as $120 extra bag in each direction to Niue. Vehicles: There will be a courtesy van, for the Matavai group to use during the week. On the Friday of departure everyone will be asked to contribute evenly to petrol costs to refill all the vehicles for return. Bring Drivers Licence with you if you wish to hire your own car. Extend your trip: Air New Zealand have a regular mid-week flight now. You are welcome to extend your stay a further 4 days and return on the midweek service. I understand that I am booking an adventure holiday and standards such as accommodations, transport, medical service and other factors will not be of the same standard that I/we are used to at home, or that might be found on a conventional holiday and that the nature of this sort of travel will always have its risks. I also acknowledge as an adventure holiday, I will need to be moderately fit, active and mobile to fully appreciate and participate in the itinerary content.
