Abu Dhabi Netball League Juniors 2018-2019 Welcome to Abu Dhabi Netball League (ADNL) Juniors.

1 Abu Dhabi Netball League Juniors Welcome to Abu Dhabi Netball League (ADNL) Juniors. For the season we will run programmes for the following ages (DOB s below): TOT s - U6 s (1/9/12-31/8/14) MINI S - U8 s + U10 s (1/9/08-31/8/12) MIDI S - U12 s + U14 s (1/9/04-31/8/08) YOUTH - U16 s + U19 s (1/9/99-31/8/04) These programmes will include uniform, training, matches, and potential league games (U16/19 only). EXPECTATIONS All those who represent and support ADNL are expected to demonstrate and exemplify appropriate behaviour and sportsmanship. Coaches, volunteers, parents and players are all asked to read and agree the appropriate codes of conducts during registration. Once athletes have registered for ADNL Juniors there is an expectation that they will attend fixed training nights and commit to matches. We understand at times there will be clashes but please communicate these issues as soon as possible. TRAINING Training will be split based on age group. Training takes place at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Khalifa A. Sessions will run as follows: DAY TIME WHO? U10 Sunday U U14 Fitness (until 8pm only) Youth Recreational U16 A + B Fitness Mini Recreational Monday U16 A + B U19/Youth Fitness Midi Recreational U19 A + B Youth Elite Youth B Wednesday U6 U U12 U12 Fitness (from 6pm only) Training will run from the week commencing 9th September 2018 to the week ending 28th March 2019 (not during school holidays or on public holidays).

2 REGISTRATION In order for us to prepare and plan for next season we are encouraging members to register prior to the school summer holidays, all registrations completed and paid (in full) prior to 30th June 2018 receive a 100AED early bird discount. 3 SELECTION FOR SQUADS All players regardless of ability are welcome to be members of ADNL. For the season we will be holding trials to select teams for our U14 s, 16 s and 19 s. - U14 s will be split into squads based on numbers. - For our Youth (U16/19) we will create the following squads; Youth Elite U19A & U19B U16A & U16B Youth B Trials will take place as follows; DAY TIME LOCATION WHO? Fri 7th Sept U16 s (selected U16 s may be asked to return to U19 trials) RAHA School - Senior Gym U19 s (with selected U16 s) Sat 8th Sept U14 s All other age groups will be split into age / ability groups after the first few weeks of training. *Throughout the season coaches monitor and assess performance continually, therefore athletes may be moved across squads. The coaches decisions are final.* Squads for additional games and will be selected in an effort to ensure fair but competitive games are played. Please note: Youth members are also required to play (if selected) in the Tuesday night Adult League as part of their development. SPONSORSHIP We are always looking for sponsorship to help us with support for ADNL. If you have any contacts or leads that may be interested in supporting us, please speak to a member of the committee. Similarly, we aim to hold fundraising events throughout the year. If you may be able to offer prizes that could be used at these events, or again have contacts that could help, please let us know. VOLUNTEERS There is a lot of work involved behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of ADNL Juniors. We will be requiring parent managers to assist and look forward to parental support for this. We would like to set up a sponsorship and social subcommittee and if you would be willing to be a part of this please let us know. ADDITIONAL COSTS Transport and accommodation fees are not included within the fees. There may also be additional that we are invited to enter that may require an additional cost (depending on entry fees).

4 COMMUNICATION will be the primary form of communication for the season. All parents are asked to ensure we have an updated address on file for this. We will also use the Heja app. This can be downloaded from both the App and Google Play store. Once girls have been placed into squads, the appropriate codes will be sent. Please use the app to communicate with other parents on your team as well as ask any questions as needed. CONTACTS The junior development officer will be your primary point of contact. Coaches for each team will be confirmed by the beginning of October. ADNL has safeguarding policies and aims to ensure best practice at all times. The safeguarding officer is Priya Mitchell.
