2 Pro Cycle Hire Classic Lap of Mallorca Guided & Supported We are pleased to announce a new experience for Spring As part of our new range of guided experiences a guided and fully supported classic lap of Mallorca in one day. Distance: Altitude Gain: Estimated ride time: Time and Start/ Finish: Location: Price: 327km 3900m Approximately 12hr Ride time 0600 meet for 0630 departure Pro Cycle Hire & Cafe, Port Pollenca 159/199 inclusive of guides, pre-ride and ride nutrition (not cafe stop), finishing beer, mechanical support. ( Jersey for option B ) Classic Route Overview: Leaving Port Pollenca we head directly into the mountains, past Lluc Monastery and to the rides high point of Tunel Monabor. From here we decend to Soller and follow the undulating coast road to its termination in Andratx. From Andratx we head over the Calvia hills and decend into the Capital, Palma de Mallorca. Leaving Palma de Mallorca to the east we track the southern coast to Santanyi where we start to swing north past Porto Cristo, towards Cala Rajada and onto Arta before the final 40km from Arta along the coast back to Port Pollenca. the lap - 1

3 Group Size & Cost: A minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16 riders are required for each of the designated guided lap days. Spaces can be filled by a single group, club or mixed with riders from separate applications. The cost covers guides, support car & fuel, food and drink. It s likely that food with be 2019 Dates: consumed on the move throughout the day. Prices are : OPTION A : 159 per person or OPTION B : 199 per person which includes the Pro Cycle Hire Jersey Either option can be selected at the time of booking. 4 Rider Vetting: This is open to riders of varying ability however it is important that our small group is of a similar ability. You do not need to be race fit but you do need to be a regular cyclist capable of 160km rides in mountain terrain with reasonable descending, bike handling and group riding skills. However you will be paced by highly experienced guides and you will have the option to sit in the wheels all day which conserves plenty of energy. Our Guides: Our professional bike guides bring with them a wealth of riding experience, incredible local knowledge and an unrivalled passion for road cycling. They have lead personal bike tours for riders of all ability and experience levels, and they know every inch of Mallorca's endless country roads and climbs. Lead guide and organiser Nicholas Perks will be responsible for all LAP dates throughout the 2019 season. You will be supported and serviced from our support car with regular food and drink to minimise stopping which allows the ride to keep a good rhythm and not become a longer day than it needs to be. Therefore you also need to be confident eating and drinking on the bike. The support vehicle will be fully equipped with spare wheels, chains, cables, tyres etc so there will be no stopping you. There will be one minute stop in Sa Rapita and pee breaks as necessary. The most important thing for a day like this is that your are motivated to complete the ride and understand that every rider will have their up and downs during the ride. This is normal on this sort of a day on the bike. There is no broom wagon so once the day is started you are fully committed. The guides will look after you, get you through the day and make it an experience that you will not forget. If bike hire is required Pro Cycle Hire Mallorca can supply a number of top end road bikes subject to availability. The bikes are perfectly maintained and in the rare case of a mechanical problem then we have full permission to carry out roadside repairs along with a compatible parts in the support car. If you are using your own bike it is essential that it is well maintained and roadworthy. the lap - 4

We will also be announcing a booking partner who will be able to arrange your hotel and transfers here in Mallorca. Alternatively we can recommend a number of hotels that you can book directly with. 6 Terms & Conditions : Participation with regard to all guiding services is at the sole risk and responsibility of the participants. Participants must accept that the LAP in particular is an endurance event when booking, and declare that they are physically fit to take part. Payment: Payment can only be made via the Internet with a credit card via the secure payment gateway supplied by the organiser (PCH) and the website Refunds : The customer has 14 natural days to ask for a cancellation and money refund. This cannot overlap the actual event date. After those 14 days, the organisation (PCH) will not authorise refunds. In the event of sickness, travel failure, natural disasters or inclement weather the organiser (PCH) will not issue refunds. Bookings are strictly personal and non-transferable and cannot be used by anyone other than the person booked. One participant cannot replace another. All participants are asked to cover themselves for any issues that will arise after the 14 day period with personal travel insurance. Please check within your specific policy details that your insurance covers an endurance event of this type. LAP Event Support : During the event, the Organization (PCH) will provide standard first aid support located in the support car. This will be limited and the organisation (PCH) asks in the event of a serious incident that all participants carry valid EHIC Cards ( European Health Insurance Cards ), copies of your travel insurance, contact details for next of kin and a copy of your current passport. The organization will provide mechanical assistance via a dedicated support car. In the case of a mechanical breakdown, labour shall be free of charge but all replacement parts shall be paid for by the participants if the bike has not been hired via PCH. Guiding Elimination : Any participant who does not follow the instructions provided by the guide, who rides dangerously and does not respect the rules of the road will be asked to stop and join the support vehicle for the remainder of the tour. If a support vehicle is not available the rider will be asked to stop and leave the group. Guiding Equipment : It is compulsory to wear a cycling helmet whilst riding. Participants can only use road bikes with a conventional set-up, including brakes on both wheels and standard handlebars. Ebikes, triathlon bikes and fixes may not be used. Appropriate clothing must be worn for an endurance event with the addition of adequate protective clothing in the case of poor weather. Roads & Route : All participants must follow the local Road Safety Act and its Regulations. The LAP uses roads not closed to traffic. Whoever does not comply with the law/or/and does not follow the instructions set by the guide will be expelled from the LAP and all subsequent events. If in the event of a road closure / incident or inclement weather the route needs to be altered for the safety of the participants the organisers (PCH) will not be liable for the shortening or possible lengthening of the event. Start and finish times may vary. We ask that all users not organise/commit to important events, return hire bikes and book flights based on our approximate finish time and will not be responsible for any costs that are incurred due to a late or early finish. Liability : The Organization ( PCH ) shall not be liable for any incident that might be caused by or involve a participant, who must be covered by his/her own personal insurance. It is also not liable for any losses that may be incurred during the event by participants, nor for any loss or damage relating to bicycles or other equipment belonging to the participants. The Organization (PCH) shall be exempt from any liability for loss or damage of personal property under any circumstances. the lap - 6

7 Without prior notice, the Organization (PCH) reserves the right to make any appropriate and reasonable changes, if deemed necessary by the event organisers. Registering for this event implies acceptance of all listed regulations and the waiving of all rights relating to the Organization (PCH), renouncing any legal action that might result from participation. Registration also accepts the risks associated with participation, including health risks, fall or collision, as well as risks related to road traffic and adverse weather conditions. The user declares to have read and accepted the legal conditions for taking part in the LAP : Data Protection: All entrants consent to their personal information being collected and stored by PCH in compliance with the current legislation on personal data. Are you diabetic? Do you suffer epilepsy or seizures? Have you been cleared by a medical professional to undertake vigorous exercise? Do you have any medical conditions that may affect you during a cycle event such as this? The user knows that the possibility of suffering a sports accident is inherent to cycling, and he/she personally assumes liability for any accident he/she may cause to him/herself, other participants in the event and a third party unconnected with the event, exonerating the organiser from any liability arising from such accidents.
