8 County Road 63 Preliminary Design Initial assumption of 4-lane expansion Extension from Argenta Trail (CR 63)/Hwy 55 project. 2-Lane divided section proposed Traffic projections of 10,000 ADT 4-lane considerations begin at approx. 18,000 ADT Right-size County Road 26/63 intersection 2-lane section is adequate until I-494 interchange is built Meets project safety and mobility goals Access management Full access: 65 th Street ¾ access: 67 th Street and 72 nd Street Right-in/Right-out: 71 st Street (future)

9 Future I-494/County Road 63 Interchange Metropolitan Council and MnDOT have approved future interchange access for County Road 63 at I-494 First step of many to final approval of a potential interchange The County will continue to evaluate and plan for future interchange Not currently in City or County CIP s Timing of interchange construction based on regional traffic growth and funding availability Difficult to project exact timing County Road 63 design accommodates expansion when the interchange is built
