4 Course description Rickling Course - Roll out from HQ to the race circuit - At the junction of the B1383 with Rickling Green Road take the B1383 towards Newport, passing through Quendon, At Newport turn left onto Wicken Road (B1038), passing through Wicken Bonhunt. Continue onto Clatterbury Lane, turn left at Clavering onto Stortford Road. Turn left at Berden crossroads onto Brick Kiln Lane to Rickling, turn left at Rickling Green onto Rickling Green Road, turn left at the main road B1383 to complete the circuit. The FINISH and Prime Point is 0.5 mile after turning left at Berden Ccossroads miles per lap. 6 laps (five full laps) = 59 miles (94km) Take care on the B1038 through Clavering. The road is a fast twisty downhill. KEEP LEFT as there may be oncoming traffic and you will have little warning of it TAKE CARE on Brick Kiln lane. This is a narrow country lane and there may be oncoming traffic. KEEP LEFT especially on the sharp right and left turns.

5 Information for riders Sign on opens at 12.30pm and closes at 1.30pm at which times reserve places will be allocated and entries on the day accepted. These will be on a first come first served basis at 25 and those seeking EOL should sign as soon as they arrive at HQ. No licence - Day licence can be bought for 10/ 5 and no points. Juniors must report to assistant commissaire for gear checks (from 12.30pm onwards) before they can receive their number. Five minute rule will apply. Race service will be available. Please hand spare wheels, labelled with your name or number to Jeremy or Neal. If you don t hand a wheel in you may not get race service. You may not receive your own wheel and will be responsible for any damage to a spare wheel while you are riding it. The race convoy will form up under the motorway bridge and leave at 2pm. Please be in place at 1.50pm for a riders briefing. All prizes must be collected on the day. A professional photographer will be taking pictures on the day and these will be made available via Wetransfer, copyright and rights free. Please remember we share the roads with other drivers and locals. Do not throw gel wrappers on the road. Any rider urinating in public or being discourteous to a member of the public will be disqualified and fined regardless of the circumstances. Rider Safety - Race Smart. See BC race smartguidelines. Cycle Club Sudbury proudly present their 5th Summer Road Races Regional B Race for 3rd & 4th Category Riders (part of the Eastern Road Race League) on 19th August 2018, 9.00am. 4 laps of the Bulmer Circuit
