2 The Prez Sez: For me, trip planning is one of the most exciting times of the year. It is almost like preparing for Christmas. I can sense the anticipation and excitement from all of the good little girls and boys just waiting to hear what we have planned for the coming season. Good little girls and boys might be stretching the truth a bit, I m really thinking about all of our club members, and we may need to leave the good and bad decisions for a more qualified assessor. As we are still finalizing contract details and the trip committee is quite proud of their lineup, I will let them make the announcement of their plans for the coming year. Rest assured, you should definitely find a trip to your liking. Trip sign-ups will be starting in July and, like last year, they will most certainly sell out very quickly. Make sure you have your membership application or renewal turned in so your trip application can be approved and you can be registered for your trip of choice. This year we have even more motivation for sending your dues in earlier - saving money. Starting August 1st, after decades of holding the cost the same, we have made a very minimal adjustment to the club membership fee, just $5. This adjustment has become necessary for us to maintain the level of service that the membership is accustomed to experiencing. Please be involved in your club and enjoy everything that it has to offer. The upcoming months have a ton of activities coming right at you. July will have a Show-and-Go bike outing, August will have the world famous Corn Roast, September will have our 1st membership meeting of the season (at a new meeting venue - The Pressroom), and a host of happy hours and other special events that are still being organized. Watch your flyer, the club website, and the various social media outlets for up-to-date information. The Board joins me in hoping you are able to participate in many of the events and while you are at it, we would love to see more members get involved and help organize the events. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and I will see you all soon!
