8 Key figures Over 120 million trips per year on the PT network 450 km of cycle lanes and 6,000 bike stands in Nantes Métropole. 3 tramlines and 45 km of network. 7 Chronobus lines since September km of dedicated bus lanes. 7 km of BusWay 34,700 passengers per day on BusWay line bus lines (excluding Chronobus). 2 Navibus ferry lines 48 P&R with 7,589 parking spaces including 895 for bicycles. 880 bicloo Self-service bicycles 24/24H, in 103 docking stations. 310 company travel plans for 85,000 employees. 8 8

18 The CYCLING POLICY Nantes Métropole adopted an ambitious 40M bicycle master plan aiming at fostering daily bike use through the development of rental services, the provision of easy and secured bike parking and of safe cycling itineraries. The bicycle master plans consists in: 500 parking spaces in downtown car parks 1000 parking spaces at Nantes railway station 1000 covered and / or secured parking spaces in the conurbation P&Rs Systematic equipment of main roads with cycle tracks or lanes, regular implementation of cycle boxes and counterflow lanes The development of rental services (Ville à Vélo NGE, Vélocampus, foldable bikes), a subsidy to the purchase of electric power assisted bicycles New experiments: ex right turns on red lights Work on behaviour change through targeted communication and events 18

19 The CYCLING POLICY BICLOO, self service bike rental system Bicloo, an automated self service bike sharing system for short distance urban trips for leisure or for work Access to the servic: Annual season ticket : 29 (20 if PT and/or Marguerite users); 20 if PT user and suscription to a Company travel plan) Weekly ticket : 5 Daily ticket : 1 Rental fares: First ½ h free then: 1 h 00 = 0,50 (tax included) 1 h 30 = 1,50 (tax included) Above : +2 per extra 30 mn 103 stations in the city centre 880 bicycles available The walking distance between stations doesn t exceed 5 mn Deposit system to increase the user s sense of responsibility without discouraging him (150 ). 19
