2 Tour de Tonka Saturday, August 5 Celebrate the sport of cycling with your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers at the 12th Annual Tour de Tonka. Enjoy a great day of cycling along with live music, good food and great people while you explore one of seven scenic routes 16, 30, 48, 57, 65, 75 or 100-mile that navigate through the Lake Minnetonka area and surrounding communities. Maps and additional information can be found at tourdetonka.org. Those registering Aug. 4 & 5 must do so in person at Minnetonka High School. Toddlers in bicycle trailers ride free. To register, visit tourdetonka.org or call GROUP DISCOUNT Groups of 10 or more and Legacy Riders receive $5 off per registration. (952) Group registration deadline is Friday, July 21, COMMUNITY IMPACT A portion of each rider s registration fee is donated to the local ICA Food Shelf. Riders may also donate money or nonperishable food items on or before the day of the ride. Since 2006, Tour de Tonka has raised over $40,000 to support the ICA. 16- Mile Ride The Family Ride This is the perfect ride for beginner riders or families with young children. The route is half paved road and half crushed-rock trail with a few hills along the way. Minimal to no Training is required for this ride. 30-Mile Ride Trails, Trails, Trails Approximately 10 miles of unpaved trail, two and a half miles of paved trail and 17 miles on paved road. There are gently rolling hills along the way. Minimal training is required for this ride. Ideal for families with older children. Minimal Training Required-Ideal for families with older children. 48-Mile Ride The Road Trip More challenging both in the distance and varied terrain, this ride has two miles of paved trail, 2.5 miles of limestone trail and 43.5 miles on paved road. There are gently rolling hills along the way, and a few more challenging hills. Note - new route through Excelsior with two more miles of limestone trail. Light Training Required- Ideal for newer riders, who are looking for a challenge. 57-Mile Ride The Expedition Follows the same route as the 48-mile ride up to the 36-mile mark, at which point it becomes more challenging. This ride has approximately M XII I N N TOURDETONKA E S O T A two miles on paved trail and 55 miles on paved road. Training Required-Ideal for riders who have logged mileage throughout the summer. 65-Mile Ride Hills and Thrills This ride is more challenging, the entire route is on road/pavement and covers a variety of terrains and elevations filled with twists, turns and hills. Training Required-Ideal for riders who have logged high mileage throughout the summer. 75 Mile Ride: 75 and Alive The 75 mile ride is challenging. It will be a long day on a bike but it will be a rewarding one as well. Very hilly and very scenic. All paved roads. Five rest stops await you as well as many memories and sore extremities. Training is required. This ride is ideal for you if you are in shape and have logged some seat-time this summer. 100-Mile Ride Tonka Century The 100-mile ride is VERY challenging. The entire route is on road/ pavement and covers a variety of terrains and elevations filled with twists, turns and hills. Extensive Training Required-Ideal for riders who have logged high-mileage routes throughout the summer and have ridden organized distance rides in the past. R S E I D

Acknowledgment, Waiver & Release Form I understand participation in Tour de Tonka (TdT) is potentially hazardous. I understand that TdT may be held over public roads and facilities open to the public during the event and upon which hazards are possible. I acknowledge that ISD #276 is providing me with an optional recreation opportunity. I have chosen to participate in TdT on my own volition, and I assume all risk and danger associated with or incidental to such participation. Knowing the dangers, hazards, and risks of such activities, and in consideration of being permitted to participate in TdT, on behalf of myself, my family, heirs and personal representative(s), I the undersigned, agree to assume all the risks and responsibilities surrounding my participation in TdT, and in advance, release, waive and forever discharge ISD #276, from and against any and all liability for any harm, injury damage, claims, demands, actions, causes of action, costs and expenses of any nature that I may have or that may hereafter accrue to me, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury (including, but not limited to suffering and death), that may be sustained by me or by any property belonging to me, whether caused by the negligence or carelessness of ISD #276, or otherwise, while in, on, upon or in transit to or from the premises where the TdT or any adjunct to the Activity, occurs or is being conducted. I hereby further agree that this release shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota. I consent to the use of my image in photos, video and audio recording, and film of my participation in all TdT events. If I am registering a child under the age of 18, I represent and warrant that I am the parent or legal authority to enter into this agreement on their behalf and by proceeding with this event registration, I agree that the terms of this ACKNOWLEDGMENT, WAIVER & RELEASE FORM shall apply equally to all registered parties. Tour De Tonka Ride Code Of Conduct 1. I understand that Tour de Tonka is a ride, it is not a race. 2. I will start with my ride group and will NOT start early. 3. I will obey all Tour de Tonka Corner Guards, Police and Fire personnel. 4. I will adhere to the rules of the road and trails. 5. I will be respectful of non-tour de Tonka riders. 6. I will wear proper event identification (Helmet sticker, bike ID). 7. I will stay on the marked Tour de Tonka route. 8. If I become aware of riders in distress, safety issues or concerns, I will call Tour de Tonka HQ. 9. I will do my best to patronize sponsors of Tour de Tonka. 10. I understand events like this are not easy to coordinate. I will be on my best behavior to ensure the sustainability of Tour de Tonka.
