2 Summary vehicle/pedestrian/bicycle collisions were reported January - April 018 in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Of these collisions, 4 involved a bicycle. The remaining incidents were strictly vehicle/pedestrian collisions, with 8 pedestrian victims. 4 Trends Vehicle/pedestrian collisions decreased by 8 incidents in April 018 over the previous month. Decrease of incidents noted when comparing April 018 to same time period last year. 5 Trends Incidents have decreased when comparing April 015 to Vehicle/Pedestrian Collisions Apr

6 Divisions & Districts HRP When comparing January - April 018 to the same time period in 017, a decrease was noted in the number of reported occurrences in both Central and West Divisions while East Division reported an increase. When comparing 018 to same time period in 017, HRP overall reported a decrease of 1 incidents or 18.18%. RCMP Halifax District Increase in the number of incidents in Cole Harbour in 018 while a decrease was noted in the Sackville area when compared to same time period in 017. Overall no change in the number of collisions in the RCMP areas in Jan to April 018 when compared to same time period in 017. HRM An overall decrease of 1 collisions or 1.% was reported in 018 compared to the same time period in 017. 15 Collision Types A smaller proportion of vehicle/pedestrian collisions took place in crosswalks in 018 when compared to 017.
