2 Dandelion Time is delighted you are on board as a satellite site for our 2015 Rowathon. You are one of 24 satellite sites so we are hopeful that many miles will be rowed and many pounds will be raised and we will reach Madagascar! See page 5 for a list of all participating satellite sites. This is a wonderful opportunity to support our work with vulnerable young people and their families. Dates The satellite sites will host their Rowathon event anytime between Monday 28th September and 4pm on Friday 9 th October. At this point the momentum and miles will transfer to the Rowathon HQ in Marden for the final 48 hour push to reach Madagascar. In the run up to the Rowathon Rowing Machine You will require one or more rowing machines and we recommend using a Concept 2 rowing machine. Rowing Machines can be rented from Indoor Sports Services: At a cost of 99 for one month s rental and inclusive of all shipping and administration costs. Creating marketing material Dandelion Time has created a poster template which you will be able to download from the Rowathon page of our website on September 10th. You can use the poster and add your own satellite information OR you can create your own. If you create your own marketing material please ensure you use the Dandelion Time Rowathon logo which is on the Rowathon page of our website and please include the logo of our Main sponsor Cook food (also available as a download from the website). The Rowathon pack During the week leading up to the Rowathon, September 21 - September 25, you will receive a pack from Dandelion Time that will have all the materials you require to run your own Rowathon event. This pack will include: A large poster or roll up banner promoting the Rowathon and info on the optional Timed Challenges A5 flyers with details on how to enter the optional Timed Challenges "I've done it For Dandelion Time wristbands. Wristbands can either be given to all those that participate OR could be sold for 1 as part of your fundraising the choice is yours. For Concept 2 rowers: a memory card to record distance rowed collection boxes Dandelion Time DVD Dandelion Time postcards and newsletters

3 News release Should you wish to send an announcement to the media/customers/suppliers/members/pupils we have created a template that you may wish to use, which you can download from our website. During the Rowathon Recording the distance rowed Please record all distances rowed in metres. If you have a Concept 2 rowing machine, Dandelion Time can supply you with a memory card that will record all distances rowed. You can see how to use the memory card via this link If you don't have a Concept 2 rowing machine you may wish to record the distances rowed using pencil, paper and clipboard. Either way at the end of each day by 6pm, please in the cumulative distance rowed, in metres, to fundraising@dandeliontime.org.uk. Please note that we will require final distance rowed on or before 4pm on October 9 th. Fundraising We are hoping that the Dandelion Time Rowathon raises 25,000 so we hope each satellite site will assist us in reaching our target. Funds can be raised and collected in a variety of ways. 1. On-line via JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving. You can set up your own Fundraising page (this way you can see the total amount that your organisation has raised). Alternatively you can donate directly onto the Just Giving Dandelion Time Rowathon 2015 page, for example. 2. Donate via text. Text and send the message ROWA 1/ 2/ 3/ 4/ 5/ 10 to Collect cash or cheques. Dandelion Time can supply you with collection boxes or larger collection buckets. Please note that if you are able to record the donations and collect the donors name and postcode Dandelion Time can collect the gift aid 4. Sponsorship: Dandelion Time has created a sponsorship form for the 2015 Rowathon. To download the form please see the Rowathon page of our website. Following the Rowathon Dandelion Time will share news about the Rowathon as follows: Overall Distance Rowed Each evening we will update the spreadsheet that will track the distance rowed by all the satellite sites. This spreadsheet will be available on the Rowathon page of the Dandelion Time website.

4 The Journey to Madagascar Via Facebook and Twitter we will announce when we have reached points of interest that we will pass on our virtual journey to Madagascar. We hope that all the satellite sites, sponsors and supporters will Share and re Tweet our posts and engage in a dialogue to make the journey as real and exciting as possible. Please use the #rowfordandelion. Timed Challenge News All Timed Challenge results will be displayed on our Leader boards which will be regularly updated on our website. When someone reaches a high position on the Leader board we will announce on Facebook and Twitter. Timed Challenges There are 7 Timed Challenges: 1. Page and Wells Age Individual Timed Challenge for 5 minutes 2. The Mulberry Tree Age 50+ Individual Timed Challenge for 5 minutes 3. Brooks Marquees Age 18+ Individual Timed Challenge for 30 minutes 4. 7R Performance U18 Timed Challenge for 5 5. Outset Adult team Timed Challenge for 50 minutes (3 to 10 participants with unlimited rower changes) 6. Gullands Solicitors Family Timed Challenge for 15 minutes (up to 2 adults and 4 children U16 unlimited rower changes) 7. Lifestyle Motor Group U18 Team Timed Challenge for 50 minutes (3 to 10 participants with unlimited rower changes) To enter a Timed Challenge Teams or individuals can enter any of the challenges as often as they wish. Its 5 per person and here's how to enter: once you have completed the challenge send an to Fundraising@dandeliontime.org.uk with the name of the challenge you are entering a photo of the erg (performance monitor) showing the time and distance your name, age and address how you paid your 5...CASH or CHEQUE or TEXT or JUST GIVING Competitive Time Challenge results will be posted on Twitter and Facebook. A Time Challenge Leader Board will be published on our website after 4pm on Friday October 9th.
