1 2015 Data review Capturing Ready Lane NEXUS vehicles Problem: NEXUS users make up the majority of traffic using the Ready Lane, but they are currently considered either standard traffic or Ready Lane traffic. This does not capture the true percentage of travelers using NEXUS to cross the border. Standard traffic Ready (NEXUS and EDL) STANDARD STANDARD READY NEXUS Only NEXUS traffic 1
2 Reported 2015 volumes at Peace Arch 2,675,283 total vehicles 39% NEXUS STANDARD STANDARD READY NEXUS 1,627,902 1,047,381 Proposed 2015 volumes at Peace Arch 2,675,283 total vehicles 44% NEXUS STANDARD STANDARD READY NEXUS 1,047,381 1,482, ,049 + Other ID: 8% of traffic or 11,603 92% of pax or 133,445 1,180,826 2
3 Caveats: Ready lane identification types are for individual passengers not vehicles. This assumes that if 92% of passengers in the Ready lane are NEXUS, that 92% of the vehicles would qualify as NEXUS vehicles. BUT clearly not always the case since the northbound numbers better align with the original NEXUS counts.
