1 Worksite Transportation Plan For WTPs due July 1, 2018 thru June 30, 2019 Creating a Better Community Updated June 6, 2018

2 Welcome to the Worksite Transportation Plan! In the following pages you will communicate valuable information to the City of Santa Monica about how your employees get to work. The City uses this information to create new services that help residents, visitors, and employees move around more easily. The Worksite Transportation Plan is a mandatory requirement for all employers with employees. If you have more than 30 employees, please contact City Staff for further instructions. If you would like to complete the Worksite Transportation Plan online visit: This plan is a requirement of the Santa Monica Municipal Code, Chapter To read exact code requirements along with other related information, visit How Do We Benefit? Environmental quality is critically damaged by transportation emissions, which contribute to more than 60% of greenhouse gas emissions in Santa Monica. Public health suffers from smog exposure, which disproportionately affects communities along the freeways. Cost savings for you and your employees when there are fewer parking charges, lower fuel and maintenance costs, and tax-free commuter benefits. Time savings make everyone s day better because carpool lanes move twice the speed during rush hour. Reduced stress and improved health are proven results from biking, walking, and public transit use. Increased productivity and employee retention when your employees are happy, healthy and spending time doing other things than driving. More parking available for customers and visitors when employees leave their cars at home and free up spaces for others. For further assistance please contact the City of Santa Monica, Mobility Division: Jack Moreau Jack.Moreau@smgov.net x2344 2
