Athletes compete against the clock to complete a set distance in the fastest time. Competition distances are 7 or 12 kilometers. Distance is based on type of bicycle and athlete classification. ROAD RACE The cycling competition includes handcycle, recumbent, upright and tandem upright bicycles. Competition distances are 10, 20 and 30 kilometers.
