10 City Engineering has reviewed the project with City Forestry & a Forestry rep will work with contractor & inspector during construction Trees will be pruned prior to construction to provide required clearance above street Some trees have been removed recently, but no additional removals expected After construction, removed trees will be replaced
11 Construction will be completed in phases Some options, may depend on contractor s preference Quadrants, full length-half at a time, etc. One travel lane will remain open at all times City parking removed, 2 blocks of State parking removed at a time Sidewalk to remain open mostly, and access to all businesses remains open Maintain temporary cross walks Likely 2 planned water shutoffs, notified a minimum of 48 hours prior Standard work hours allowed: 7AM-7PM
12 Construction will begin as soon as possible in Spring estimated April 11, 2016 Depending on phasing, half project completed from mid April mid July (Art Fair on the Square) Contractor required to have project at least temporary paved for Art Fair event Complete remainder of project by September (Taste of Madison) No work on Saturdays for Farmer s Market
