2 March Crime Report 2018 PURPOSE: The purpose of this report is to provide an analysis of Coeur d Alene crime for the month of March Information provided: Compstat Report for calendar month and year to date. Month-to-Month Comparison Maps Part 1 Crimes (Compstat Crimes) by calendar month. Compstat Monthly Map for calendar month. DATA SOURCE: The information used for this analysis was Summit / Spillman data compiled using CrimeView Mapping / Analysis and Crystal Report / Excel Statistical Charts. Aggravated Assaults 11% Decrease: Incident breakdown Four domestics and four incidents where the victim/suspect knew each. Dispositions: Seven closed by arrest and one active case. Rape Increase The suspects in each case were known to the victim. One arrest was made and four cases remain actively under investigation. Auto Burglaries by District Robbery One bank robbery and one incident involving drugs. Auto Burglary 7% Decrease: See maps for details on locations. No suspects were identified Residential Burglary Large Increase: Two suspects were arrested and one cited. No distinct pattern (MO, location, suspect). Theft 3% Decrease: 33% of the incidents were shoplifting related. The remaining were thefts from buildings open to the general public or where the suspects had legal access to. A total of 15 cases were closed by arrest or citation. Vehicle Theft 20% Increase: Six vehicles were reported stolen. Dispositions: Three vehicles recovered in CDA and one vehicle recovered in Benton County, WA. Two vehicles remain stolen. One arrest was made.
