Olymp Zabrze Sport Club, in cooperation with the Polish Bodybuilding, Fitness & Powerlifting Federation, proudly invites ALL IFBB-affiliated National Federations from all over the world to participate in the second edition of this prestgeious IFBB international competition: IFBB Diamond Cup to be held in Katowice, Poland. The event is combined with big Fitness Expo covering the exhibition area of 10,000 m 2 and will also include competions in other sports like Cross-Fit, Strongman, Armwrestling as well as different kinds of aerobic fitness classes and the beauty zone. Recently erected and opened in March 2015 the International Conference Center (MCK) located in the Katowice downtown is the perfect place for sport-related exhibitions. The MCK is situated in the vicinity of the famous Spodek Sport and Entertainment Hall with seats capacity, where the Diamond Cup will take place this year. THE CITY Located in southwestern Poland, the city of Katowice is the center of the Silesian Metropolis, with a population of 2.7 million. Throughout the 18 th century, Katowice had developed into a village upon the discovery of rich coal reserves in the area. In the first half of the 19 th century, intensive industrialization transformed local mills and farms into industrial steelworks, mines, foundries and artisan workshops. In the first half of the 20 th century the city passed from hand to hand: from Germany to Poland after the World War I, from Poland to Germany in the World War II and back to Poland after the War. Katowice is a center of science, culture, industry, business, trade, and transportation in Upper Silesia and southern Poland, and the main city in the Upper Silesian Industrial Region. Today, the city is considered as an emerging metropolis. The whole metropolitan area is the 16 th most economically powerful city by GDP in the European Union, with an output amounting to USD $114.5 billion. Nowadays there is an easy access to the city by car due to the crossover of two modern highways: A1 (from northern Poland to Czechia, Austria and South Europe) and A4 (from Western Europe through Germany, Poland to Ukraine). THE VENUE Spodek Sport and Entertainment Hall Diamond Cup competition 35 Korfantego Ave., Katowice, Poland International Conference Center (MCK) Fitness Expo 1 Slawika and Antalla Square, Katowice, Poland The International Conference Centre building in Katowice is a multifunctional, complex service facility, which ranks among public buildings. As to the main functions of the building, it was designed to host congresses, conferences, exhibitions, fairs and performances. It has been designed for guests who take part in the events,

3 however, it also has an area which is fully available for the public it is a green passage which goes diagonally through the building s roof where it takes on the shape of a valley, as well as the main foyer the connecting area between two entrances: from the Honour Square s side (in front of the arena complex called Spodek the Saucer ) and the second from the side of Olimpijska Street (which is under design).

4 ARRIVALS AND AIRPORT Official arrival day is October 05 th, 2018 Official departure day is October 08 th, 2018 KATOWICE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KTW) Located around 30 km from the city center. Offers connecting flights to/from more than 30, mainly European, destinations. Wizz Air offers the most destinations (21), followed by Ryanair (9), LOT Polish Airlines (2) and Lufthansa (2). You can check at: There are Airport Buses and private lines offering easy access to the city center (appr. 50 minutes) and back. Also taxis and rent a car option. Bus ticket price is appr. EUR 7 one way. JOHN PAUL II INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT KRAKÓW BALICE (KRK) Located near Krakow, in the village of Balice, is the second busiest airport of the country. Offers 31 connecting flights. The map can be found at: Buses and mini-buses from the Krakow Airport to Katowice city center are available (A4 highway, 80 km distance, appr. 75 minutes).

Check with your National Federation for more information. VISA A valid passport is required to enter the territory of the European Union (Schengen Zone). Schengen Area nowadays covers most of the European Countries with an exception made for the United Kingdom and the countries that are soon to be part of this agreement as Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus and Ireland. Although not members of the European Union, the following countries like Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Lichtenstein are also part of the Schengen zone enjoying the same freedom of movement policy as the others EU-country citizens do not require a visa. Citizens of the following 90 countries are not required to be in possession of a visa when entering Poland for less than 90 days: All other persons should consult the Polish Embassy in their country to determine if they require a visa. More info at: An Official Letter of Invitation will be made available if required. PARTCIPATION The contest is open for all IFBB-affilaited National Federations from all over the world. The number of competitors participating in these championships is unlimited. REGISTRATION Official Athlete Registration will take place at the International Conference Center (MCK) main hall,

6 1 Slawika and Antalla Square, Katowice, Poland, on Friday, October 05 th, 2018, from 14:00 till 18:00 hrs. MCK the venue Honor Square The big Spodek Arena Registration of athletes will only be considered if they are entered by the National Federation of the athlete by sending the Final Entry Form with their names directly to the Organizing Committee, to the IFBB Technical Committee and IFBB Head Office in Madrid. The final decision to allow an athlete to compete in this event rests with the IFBB. All athletes will have to produce their Passports and IFBB International Cards at the Registration. Any athlete who has not yet purchased or renewed his/her IFBB International Card will have to buy one at registration. IFBB Cards are EUR 30 and are mandatory. All posing music must be on an audio CD only. The posing music must also be at the start of the CD. Each competitor must affix his name on the CD for easy identification. The use of profane, vulgar and offensive language is strictly prohibited in the posing music. Each athlete participating in the championship will be provided with a wristband at the Registration. This identification will allow daily admission and should not be removed. TEAM MANAGERS & JUDGES MEETING Will start at 18:15 in the registration area. REGISTRATION FEE Registration fee at this competition is as follows: - Men s and Women s open categories and Masters - EUR 200 per athlete - Junior categories - EUR 100 per athlete If an athlete wants to participate in the second category (like master or junior in a the senior open class), the registration fee for this second category is EUR 50. Registration Fee may be paid at the paid in advance by credit/debit card or PayPal at IFBB webpage: for your best comfort and convenience. Please add your name during online payment and bring a copy of your payment confirmation to the registration. Registration Fee may also be paid in cash at the Registration in Katowice on October 05 th, 2018, in the same amount (without any additional fee). Top three competitors in each category will be awarded with IFBB medals. Top six competitors in each category will receive cups and diplomas. Top two in the overall category in Men s Physique, Muscular Men s Physique, Bodybuilding and Classic Bodybuilding as well as in Women s Bikini Fitness and Bodyfitness will be awarded with the IFBB Elite Pro Cards (after application through their National Federations). JUDGES To be taken into consideration during selection of judges panels at the competition, IFBB International Judges (as well as test-judges) must be included in the Final Entry Forms sent by National Federations, according to the IFBB Rules. IFBB International Judges must have a valid IFBB Judge s Card with the IFBB yearly judges fee of EUR 50 paid for Test-judges must pay the IFBB judge s test fee of EUR 50. These fees may be paid at the Championships in Katowice. All Judges and Test-Judges must be present at the Team Managers and Judges Meeting. Any Judge absent at this meeting will not be allowed to judge at these Championships. If any of the above conditions has not been met, Judges will be unable to carry out their duties. TANNING The IFBB has banned all tans that can be wiped off. An official will check the tan of all athletes backstage and if the tan comes off by simply wiping, the athlete will be told to remove the tan before going on stage. Professional tanning services will be available at the venue. There will be professional tanning services available at the competition. All athletes must be nominated by their National Federation by sending the Final Entry Form with their names. LANGUAGE
