4 Handwriting is our forte has been justified by the Little Angels of DPS P.W- Shreya Jha (II D ) and Akshita Vishwakarma ( Prep A ) have out shown everybody and stood 1st in their respective groups in Handwriting competition conducted by International Handwriting Olympiad Organisation. The children enjoyed playing Holi with dry colours after their Art exam and touched the feet of their teachers to seek their blessings. SUBJECTWISE ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED IN CLASS CLASS- LKG ENGLISH The children enjoyed identifying vowels and making new words.

5 HINDI The children did group activity to find three and four letter words. MATHS The children learnt the concept of After with the help of digits, letters, days etc. enjoyed pasting pictures in their book for developing their fine motor skills. ENGLISH: Quiz on Has / Have was conducted. CLASS- PREP

6 MATHS The children enjoyed making a Human Clock. EVS The children enjoyed speaking five lines on their favourite thing actually present in their School. HINDI Children enjoyed doing an activity Matraon Ka Hua Gyan Ab Tum Unki Karo Pehchan

7 CLASS- I ENGLISH The children enjoyed doing activity which focussed on their vocabulary and enhancement of power of expression. EVS The children enjoyed doing the activity named Guess the Emotion and thus learnt the importance of sign language. HINDI Children enjoyed spinning a story with the help of pictures.

8 MATHS A market scene was created in which the children enjoyed buying things using currency notes and thus learnt about the concept of money. CLASS- II MATHS The children enjoyed making a Season Wheel and played a game to learn about different Months, Seasons and Ritus. EVS The children made road signs to understand the meaning of each one of them for their safety on road.

9 CLASSES III TO V 9 th February, 2018: A wonderful, meaningful and very educative morning assembly was presented by class V-D on 9 th February, 2018 on the topic Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The talented students of class V-D were appreciated by one and all present in the auditorium. 16 th February, 2018: Class IV A presented a wonderful morning assembly on the topic BETI BACHAO, BETI PADHAO. It was fabulous and mesmerizing assembly. The students performed songs, dance and gave a beautiful message through their gestures and expression. The students with their thrilling and stupendous performance won the hearts of one and all.

10 16 th February, 2018: DPS Vindhyanagar is well aware about its responsibilities for society and surroundings. The students in order to inculcate the habit of cleanliness and promote Green India, Clean India Movement were taken to the Sarweshwari Temple for cleanliness under the guidance of Mrs. Kamini Srivastava and her whole team of Cleanliness Club. The student did excellent work by cleaning each and every nook of the temple. This social initiative taken by the students and teachers was appreciated by one and all. Though Divya Verma is RTE student, she is bright student, good speaker and excellent in sports & games. She is also sport captain of the Junior Council for the session Looking into her achievements, performance in curricular and co-curricular activities Silver Zone has given her scholarship of Rs. 5000/-.

12 CLASSES vi viii 6 th Feb 2018 Workshop on Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao : A social welfare society Ganga Swaroop run by Smt. Asha Arun Yadav works for Beti Bachao awareness around Singrauli District. The same was presented in an interesting manner by her.the chief guest being Shri. Vikas Singh, SDM, Singrauli delivered an extremely focused speech on the selfless services of many for this cause and the need for the security to be provided to women and girls education and their protection and assured of every service to make them feel free in the society. Our Honourable Principal Sir too left no stone unturned,hence spoke of similar views towards spreading awareness among students of equality between girls and boys and respect each other. Assuredly it was a value-instilled workshop. 9 th Feb. 18-Students enter beyond boundary competition: Students entered a painting competition on Swatchhta Campaign, much different experience, as the outside wall of district court was to be painted. Mr. Prashant Rokhde, art Teacher and his team representing DPS VNGR, finely expressed their love for the country and the initiatives of making A Clean India as they keenly culminated colours and gave it the best look, much appreciated by one and all, for creativity never fails.

13 COMPETITIVE EXAM RESULTS ( SILVER ZONE ) A proud moment as a number of students excelled in various Competitive Exams and entered Level 2 and had to face another round to prove themselves. The school congratulates the awardees as they let the unfurled flag of DPS (V) soar higher. These exams were held this month-ii0, IOS, IOM and IOEL. Ashutosha Nanda VIIIA 3 Bronze 21 st February 2018 Maatri Bhasha Diwas: Maatri Bhasha Diwas was celebrated giving significance to the unity in the diverse languages spoken in India. Mr. N. Awasthi, AGM (TAD), NTPC, Vindhyachal was the Chief Guest. He admired the enthusiasm with which the students put up each presentation of dance, drama and speeches and PPTs. In his speech he spoke of the importance of Mother tongue and being multi-lingual and of the oldest languages like Sanskrit and Tamil and their usage and existence till date. 15 23 rd February 2018 Swatccha Vidhyalaya Abhiyaan: Last activity periods were utilized for this service. Our Honourable Principal Sir, Headmaster, Headmistress and a few teachers and students stepped out of the school premises to be a part of the Swatccha Vidhalaya Abhiyaan. The area in and around the entrance of the school was cleaned of its litters. Tree plantation too was a part of it. Students regularly bring saplings on their birthdays and plant them and green goes the ground. 26 th Feb. 18-ANNUAL EXAM BEGINS: The atmosphere of exams prevails and the students all begin to engross themselves in extra hours of study and revisions and even make them doubt clearing days.vi to VIII EXAMS are scheduled from 26 th Feb.18 to 22 nd Mar. 18. CLASSES IX XIi This month started with academic concentration including many strategies for improvement. Pre boards examination was conducted to groom the students for writing board examination session CLASS IX &XI EXAMINATION -1 ST FEBRUARY-15 TH FEBRUARY: Class 9 th and class 11th examination got over by 15 th of February. This was planned such so that their classes for class10th could be started a bit earlier by 8 th of March.

16 DOUBT CLEARING CLASSES: Throughout the month of February doubt clearing classes for 10 th and 12 th were conducted. It benefited the students for their board preparation. STRESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAME BY NTPC-20 TH FEBRUARY: NTPC conducted a stress management programme through the expertise of Mrs. Arunima Patra and Mr. Mukteswar Patra from Tanvi Consultancy services Bhubaneswar.
