2 Dear Coaches and Peers, The Privilégio Boxing Club, in partnership with Odivelas City Council, warmly invites all interested boxing clubs to participate in the 6th edition of the ODIVELAS BOX CUP, which will take place at the Multiusos Pavilion of Odivelas Lisbon, from December 14 till 16, We will have 3 entire days of competition in the OLYMPIC BOXING TOURNAMENT format, designed for Men and Women of all age classifications and all weight categories, using 3(three) rings simultaneously. Following the success and the sporting impact of the previous edition, achieved by the presence of countless national clubs as well as foreign clubs from all over Europe, we want to do even better this year and we are expecting to organize one of the biggest INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC BOXING TOURNAMENT for Clubs in Europe. We want to surpass the last edition by increasing the number of participating clubs and raising the current competitive level of the sport we love. In order to develop Portuguese boxing and take our talented athletes to the next level, the main purpose of the Tournament s Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is to offer competition at an international level for all participants, in quantity and quality, and by doing so hope that everyone will take and enjoy this opportunity. So, we are inviting all Portuguese clubs and their associations as well as all boxing clubs from all over the world to join us in this amazing Tournament. We are hoping to receive 300 athletes who will compete in all weight and age classes. We want to welcome you in Odivelas and together we all will enjoy this unique and unparalleled event. COMPETITIONEQUIPMENT: 3 (three) Rings will be used simultaneously during the entire competition, with the official dimensions; LOC will ensure all the other competitive equipment, including properly licensed gloves and headguards; All boxers, except those in the Elite Men category, must wear a red or blue headguard, as per the respective Boxer s corner.

5 COMPETITION SET UP: There will be 3 (three) days of boxing competition; Athletes will be drawn according to their age and weight categories and then they will meet in pairs following the order drawn in a competition diagram, consisting of 8 (eight) boxers each; Athletes who win their bouts advance in the competition until they eliminate all their opponents, being declared champions in their respective category; Athletes who don t win their matches will be eliminated from the competition at the 1st defeat. Other considerations: o LOC will try to evenly distribute the highest possible number of athletes from different nationalities, in order to offer higher competitive chances to everyone; o LOC has the right to change athletes between the competition diagrams (either by nationality or boxing experience), to have a better and fairer competition for all. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: All boxers must bring their record book with annual medicals duly completed and updated; All Boxers must bring their valid passport or their ID. All Girls must bring their Declaration of Non-Pregnancy SCORING SYSTEM: The Scoring System will be based on a Ten Point Must-System. WEIGHT-INAND TOLERANCE: DECEMBER 14 (Friday) DECEMBER 15 (Saturday) DECEMBER 16 (Sunday) DAY ROUNDS OF BOUTS WEIGHT TOLERANCES QUARTER-FINALS NO TOLERANCE SEMI-FINALS (+500 gr) FINALS (+1000 gr) OFFICIAL DRAW: The Tournament official Draw will take place at the Multiusos Pavilion in Odivelas on Friday, December 14, 2018, at 13:00, open exclusively to Coaches and Clubs Officials.

6 AWARDS: The Tournament LOC will: Provide a participation diploma to all athletes as a way of thanking them for their prestigious presence; Award the athletes who finish in the first 3 places of each category, receiving a Gold, Silver or Bronze Medal; Give a Trophy to the best male and female athletes in all ages, Best team in Diplomas and Elite, best Fight of tournament, best R&J present in the competition. PRATICE: During the ODIVELAS BOX CUP 2018 period, all athletes can train at the competition venue, the Multiusos Pavilion, where they will have a large room with ring for training or sparring. TECHNICAL MEETING: On Thursday, December 13, the traditional Technical Meeting will be held for Coaches and Club Managers only, where the Tournament and the Competition s rules and conditions will be presented. PARTICIPATION ENTRY-FORMS: The participant s fee is 25 and non-refundable; only for athletes The deadline for the registration of all teams, composed of athletes and coaches and others, is until November 30, 2018; Only if after we receive the completed entry-form, and full payment, will we assure the place of the athlete in the competition.
