3 INTRODUCTION Dear Federation, The French Canoe Federation is pleased to invite you to take part in the International Paddle Ability Regatta during the rd Flatwater racing World Cup to be held in France in Gerardmer. In this bulletin, we wish to give you new information about the competition, lodging and the participation fee. We created two categories for this event (Elite and Promotion). We kindly ask you to cautiously fill in the individual forms and to share your needs with us. A support team will be available for disabled athletes all along your stay in Gérardmer. Do not forget to send back your forms by fax or by regular mail before the deadlines indicated, thus helping us processing the data and organising an event that lives up to everyone s expectation. CATEGORIES DESCRIPTION The disabled athletes have the choice between two categories depending on their physical or technical impairments. Each paddle ability athlete must wear a buoyancy jacket.

This choice will be validated by a technical commission after pratical tests that will take place on: Friday 1 June from 10.00am to 12.00am Promotion Sea Kayak - Miwok (DAG) Possibility to equip the kayak with adapted shell Length : 5 m Width : 0.60 m Height : 0.34 m Elite Fitness flatwater kayak : Viper 51 (Nelo) Ruderless Lenght : 5.20 m Width : 0.51 m Cockpit : 1 m*0.51 m Boats are made available free of charge by the Organising Committee. 6

12 SAMPLES OF mode of calculation Example 1 : numbers in red (in the table) A team of 15 people arrives on Tuesday 29th (whatever the time of arrival). The team chooses category 3. So it will have to pay 425 per person for the whole stay, i.e. 15 x 463 = Exemple 2 : numbers in blue (in the table) 11 people of a team arrive on Wednesday 30th (whatever the time of arrival) and choose category 2-twin. 2 other people of the same team arrive on Thursday 7th (whatever the time of arrival) and choose category 1-twin. To know if you need to have a VISA : If you need to obtain a VISA: National federations must send a list of their athletes as soon as they can with all information requested to obtain a VISA (athletes name, surname, date of birth, passport number, arrival date, departure date) to the French Canoe Federation. The French Canoe Federation will help you to send an official invitation for your team with nominal information to the French Embassy in your country and a copy to your National Federation.
