6 MILFORD SOUND THE TRACK TASTER Jon us on ths great half day, afternoon trp that starts wth a paddle around Deep Water Basn n Mlford Sound and up to the nfamous Sandfly Pont. You ll explore the shores of the Arthur Rver before settng foot on the world famous Mlford Track. Enjoy an easy walk along the track, admrng the mpressve waterfalls and brdlfe along the way and learn about the hstory of the area from your gude. You wll spend approxmately 2 hours on the track and 2 hours kayakng on ths trp - t s a great mx of paddlng and walkng and a perfect opportunty to get out and experence Fordland. 7 DOUBTFUL SOUND DOUBTFUL SOUND OVERNIGHTER The Doubtful Sound overnghter s all about allowng yourself some qualty tme to experence a personal adventure; a genune sea kayakng and campng trp n a remote envronment that eptomses what Fordland wlderness s all about - and of course havng fun along the way! Each day nvolves approxmately fve hours kayakng amdst towerng clffs, waterfalls and lush ran forest. Penguns, seals and dolphns are sometmes encountered and brd song breaks the slence as we paddle the shorelne. In the evenng we camp amdst the forest n Hall Arm besde a fresh water stream - a specal place n whch to relax as dusk descends. Three tmes longer than Mlford Sound t has a sea surface area roughly ten tmes larger due to ts longer length and many sde arms. The more tme you spend n Doubtful Sound, the greater the rewards. There are wonderful secluded waterways and slands to explore. Our mult-day trps are desgned to really enhance your understandng of wlderness and adventure. The best way to carry your other gear to the launch pont s n a backpack. FOOD On a kayakng trp you wll eat more than usual and there s plenty of storage space on the kayaks. Brng food whch s smple but nourshng, quck and easy to cook. Please remove excess packagng and carry food n bags (supermarket cloth bags are deal). 10 Mlford Sound To Wanaka Mlford CANCELLATION POLICY Fordland Wlderness Experences reserves the rght to cancel or amend any tour due to road, water or weather condtons. If we have to cancel a tour due to such crcumstances, we do not charge you or a refund s gven. If you wsh to cancel or reschedule and not be charged or receve a refund, as many days notce as the number of days n your kayakng tour, are requred, e.g. one day tour = 24 hours notce, two days tour = 48 hours notce etc. You wll be fully charged, no refund wll be gven f: 1. You do not cancel wth as many days notce as the number of days n your kayakng tour. 2. You mss your tour departure. 3. You do not turn up (even f due to unexpected llness, njury, vehcle breakdown, sleepng late etc). We have to cancel your bookng because of clent unsutablty owng to age, ll health, poor ftness, napproprate physcal sze, ntoxcaton, nablty to communcate n Englsh etc. Due to the nature of our busness and gven we only work wth small groups, cancellatons affect us sgnfcantly and we apply a strct cancellaton polcy. We therefore strongly recommend that you have travel nsurance whch covers all potental cancellaton crcumstances. A confrmed bookng means that all partes to the bookng have read, understood and accepted the condtons of our cancellaton polcy. RISK DISCLOSURE Sea kayakng and wlderness campng have nherent rsks and can be dangerous. In Fordland they are charactersed by: remoteness, rapdly changng and sometmes extreme weather and water condtons, cold water, lmted kayak landng stes and campng under forest canopy. Detaled rsk management and strct safety procedures are observed, however, there stll remans an element of rsk. Fordland Wlderness Experences cannot absolutely guarantee partcpants safety. Fordland Wlderness Experences accepts ts legal responsbltes but cannot be held responsble for personal njury or for loss, theft or damage of/to your equpment outsde legal responsbltes. Partcpants wll be requred to sgn a lablty form to ths effect before startng a tour. Changng condtons can mean that tours have to be modfed. No two tours are the same. It s very rare but weather could delay your scheduled return by up to 24 hours e.g. road closures or weather condtons preventng kayakng.
