Many of th activitis for custom fittd for th wathr, nvironmntal conditions, and th tids. Camprs can b sur that vry day will b an advntur! A typical day at camp might includ kayaking in th morning, whn all th wildlif is out fding, thn crabbing until lunch. In th aftrnoon, camprs might njoy a surf lsson, or a hik through Carolina Bach Stat Park to Sugarloaf Dun, for a littl xploring and swimming! Latr in th wk, camprs might advntur to Southport on th Frry, to visit th Oak Island Lighthous and th Maritim Musum. Th wk wouldn t b complt without a visit to th North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fishr, and a fw surpriss from th staff! Kayaking Carolina Coastal Advnturs kayaking program is hadd by Angla Pagnstchr, who is an Amrican Cano Association crtifid IT trainr. Sh has taught vryon from bginnrs to instructors. Th staff at Kid s Camp is also crtifid by Angla, so camprs can njoy larning th basics of kayaking that adhr to th standards of ACA accrditation. Kid s camprs will larn th basic stroks rquird to navigat through our coastal watrs, as wll as a fw fun rscu tchniqus. If conditions ar right, camprs may b abl to kayak to Zk s Island, for our famous Zk s Island Advntur Day, whr w will swim, hik, intract with local wildlif, and us a sin nt or dip nt to s how many marin organisms w can collct. Camprs will larn all th basics for catching wavs, gtting up on th board, and having a saf surfing advntur. Whil som camprs ar surfing, othrs will swim and play on th bach, or boogi board until thir turn coms! Lifguard Crtifid camp counslors will b prsnt to mak sur vryon stays saf whil having fun! Marin Education During th cours of th wk, camprs will gt many opportunitis to intract with local wildlif.
