TRAINING STARTS SATURDAY 5TH AUGUST - REGATTA SUNDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER Get your firm to sponsor a crew in this unique and intense team building experience over four weeks culminating in a private regatta on the Sydney Olympic rowing course. TEAMWORK We all recognise the value of great teamwork, and few sports create teamwork like rowing does. It is simple: Eight rowers perform complex tasks in time and the crew that does that best wins. It s easy to learn, difficult to master, and thrilling to win! EXPERIENCE Over the last 20 years Leichhardt Rowing Club one of NSW s oldest and biggest clubs has worked with many organisations and corporations to create a team building experience which is unique, highly effective and strongly endorsed by those who have been part of it. SYDNEY HARBOUR Experience Sydney Harbour as few do, at dawn, silent, the water like a mirror. Row past Cockatoo Island, explore Iron Cove and the Lane Cove River, and finally compete where the Olympians do at the Sydney International Regatta Centre.
PROGRAM Situated just 10 minutes from the city we work with each crew to set training times that work best for them. We start with an orientation session to teach basic boat handling, safety and familiarity with rowing terms. There are then eight on-water sessions over four weeks, each coached by one of our senior competitive rowers who is right alongside the VIII in a tinny at all times. Most crews choose to train early then shower in our excellent facilities and grab a complimentary healthy rowers breakfast before starting the day. Some train later in the afternoon and some on the weekends. We also spend some time off-water on our rowing machines to help perfect and correct each person s technique. The entire club supports the Corporate Challenge and the atmosphere is very helpful and friendly. Rowers like to think they achieve more before 8am than most people achieve all day.
THE REGATTA At the end of the program we take over the Olympic venue at Sydney International Regatta Centre and stage a full private regatta over a 500m course. Crews can be mixed gender with multiple levels of experience. We have a very good handicapping system which takes into account age, gender and experience to create thrilling finishes. Up to eight VIIIs row in each heat with full timing and photo finish equipment making for spectacular and exciting racing. The entire 30 hectare park is ours for the day so many organisations make it a big staff day with marquees, catering, kids and bikes to follow the races.
THE DETAILS DATES Closing date for registration: Friday 28th July Orientation session: Saturday 5th August Training commences: Monday 7th August Regatta: Sunday 3rd September FEES 1 crew $ crews $3700 each 3 crews $3450 each (each crew consists of 8 rowers and 1 cox) CONTACT Marcus Trimble, LRC Vice President marcus@bennettandtrimble.com

Registration with and insurance from Rowing New South Wales. Regular coaching and a fitness program which will significantly increase their health, self esteem and their ability to work together. Free entry in the Annual LRC Corporate Challenge where they will row in a special Corporate Regatta under your colours at the Sydney Olympic Regatta Centre. Access to our gym at any time.
