Take a trip with us as we visit countries and cultures all over the world, and explore how we all celebrate during this joyous time of year. We hope it will enrich all of our students' holiday season! The TDS Holiday Express See attached TDS Holiday Express Packet for dates and times, and to learn in which cast you will be performing. 2 The TranscenDance Studios Holiday Express PERFORMANCE PARTICIPATION FEE There is a non-refundable $60 participation fee per student to be charged to the credit card on file on November 5. There are no separate ticket or costume charges for this show. This participation fee covers costume rental, storage, and maintenance, theatre rental, insurance, and staffing. This fee remains the same even if your dancer is participating with more than one class or show, and no matter how many tickets you choose to reserve. Holiday Express participation is assumed for all students, unless a Performance Withdrawal Form is filled out by a parent. Performance Withdrawal Forms must be returned to the front desk by November 1. Parents may drop off dancers at their Rehearsal Call Time, return for the show, and then pick up dancers after the show. Dancers will be supervised at the theater from their Rehearsal Call Time through parent pick up at the end of the show. Rehearsals and shows are on the same day, unless otherwise noted. *Green Cast (except Hawaii & Australia) have their rehearsal and show on separate days. See packet for your show cast.

4 Dear TranscenDance Studios Families and Dancers, We are excited to announce our third presentation of The TranscenDance Studios Holiday Express! There are a few differences between this holiday show and our annual recitals in June. Firstly, there will be no charge for tickets to see your dancer perform. Dancers instead pay one participation fee of $60 per student that covers costuming and theater rental. This fee remains the same even if your dancer is participating with more than one class and no matter how many tickets you choose to reserve. Secondly, there will be no individual costume charges for this show, as TDS will retain possession of any costuming items not included in the costume base brought from home. Participation for all dancers is assumed unless a Show Withdrawal Form is returned by November 1. All studio dancers (participating in the show or not) will be learning the routines in classes throughout October and November. The TranscenDance Studios Holiday Express is intended to be a short (under 60 minutes), fun, family-friendly show with loose plot line exploring different cultural and magical holiday celebrations throughout the world. 5 COSTUME BASE, HAIR, MAKEUP Girls Costume: black tank or camisole strapped leotard (no long or cap sleeved leotards) & black footless tights OR black tank top & black leggings Boys Costume: black t-shirt or tank top & black shorts/sweatpants (sweatpants must be banded at bottom) Shoes: Combo Classes (Hawaii, Australia) and Tumbling (Israel & Puerto Rico) will go barefoot. Intermediate and Advanced Hip Hop & Synergy Classes (Train) should wear the required black performance shoe. All other classes will wear their regular class shoes for dress rehearsal and the show. Girls Hair: Hair for all classes is a high center bun on top of the head. Hair should be secured very well with spray, gel, and bobby pins. Boys Hair: Dancer's choice as long as long hair is secured away from face. Makeup: Makeup should be heavier since stage lights wash-out facial features. Natural tones please, no blue eye shadow. Grays and browns work well on eyes. All female dancers must wear lipstick. For the younger dancers ages 2-6, please use your own discretion. A little blush for color and lipstick works. Mascara for the "brave" parents. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE A PARTICIPATION FEE REDUCED TO $15! 6 TICKETS ITEMS FOR ORDER Tickets may be reserved beginning November 10. Tickets are free and can be reserved online at There will be a 4 ticket limit (per family) imposed until one week prior to the performance, at which point the remaining tickets will become available. This is to ensure each participating family has access to at least four tickets to watch their dancer perform. Seating is reserved. Tickets should be printed at home and brought with you to the show. Be sure to print the ticket with your seat number, and not just the purchase receipt. DVDS DVDS are for sale by pre-order only. No personal photography or video will be allowed in dress rehearsal or recital. Orders must be received no later than show day. Price is $ tax DVD pickup at TDS. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery to TDS. Last day to pickup at TDS is May 1. See online DVD Order Form for more information. FLOWERS Stop worrying about having to remember to buy your dancer flowers on show day! Bouquets are long-stemmed red and white roses wrapped with greenery. Flowers are for sale by pre-order only.
