1 Congrats Lake Nona Caroler Members, Here is a calendar template of your rehearsals and performance opportunities Please put this on your refrigerator where you and your parents can see it It is important to communicate with each other in advance before this busy time begins Students can miss TWO practices for any reason After two, you will not be able to participate in Carolers We will kick off our performance season at the Lake Nona Country Club on December 2 nd We will perform in the Winter Chorus Concert on December 4 th at 7 pm The concert is free and family members are encouraged to attend Students need to arrive at 5:00 pm in the auditorium The doors open to the public at 6:30 pm Please take note that our Community Outreach performances will take place on Friday, December 12th from 9 am 4:00 pm Some places we hope to visit are Nemours Children s Hospital, the Veterans Hospital, North Lake Park Elementary, Moss Park Elementary, and Sunblaze Elementary The exact itinerary for this will be available soon We will need many parents to help out with this great event, so if you are willing, please let me know All singers will need to wear blue jeans, a Caroler s shirt that will be provided and closed toe sneakers Please purchase a white long sleeve shirt to wear underneath your T-shirt You can be creative and add scarves, hats, reindeer ears, etc LOOK FUN AND FESTIVE! Parents who would like to assist with these performances need to fill out ADDITIONS PAPERWORK online at wwwlakenonachoruscom and also the chaperone application that is attached If you would like a shirt to wear, please me your size and send in $800 THANK YOU! 2 Carolers Performances 2014 DECEMBER 2 nd What is it? Lake Nona Country Club Holiday Party Where is it? Lake Nona Country Club Drop of Time and location: 4:30 in the front of LNMS Pick up time and location: 8:00 pm in the front of LNMS Transportation: The country club provides transportation in and out of the venue Chaperones: No chaperones are needed for this event Unfortunately, parents will not be able to enter the venue for this performance What to wear: Formal Chorus uniforms (Girls dresses, black closed toe/heeled flats with hair ribbon; hair half up and half down Boys tuxedo pants, white tuxedo shirt, vest, long black tie, black dress socks and black dress shoes) DECEMBER 4 th What is it? Winter Chorus Concert Where is it?: Lake Nona HS Drop of Time and location: 5:00 in the theatre at LNHS for a run through on stage Pick up time and location: when concert is over (you are invited to attend) Transportation: Parent responsibility Chaperones: I will need 2-4 parents to help the Carolers back stage as they change from their formal attire into their Carolers t- shirt/jeans/white long sleeve undershirt/sneakers/fun hat Girls will be in the chorus room, boys can change in the men s restroom What to wear: See above DECEMBER 12 th What is it? Lake Nona Carolers Community Outreach Tour Where is it?: Various locations throughout the Lake Nona Community Drop of Time and location: 8:00 am in the chorus room Pick up time and location: 3:30 pm at Publix (new one right next to the school) if you would like to see our final performance of the day Come and watch them as they finish the tour! Transportation: Charter bus Lunch: please bring $6-7 for lunch We will stop at a local fast food restaurant to eat Chaperones: many are needed Please become an ADDITIONS volunteer and fill out a chaperone application which is attached The deadline to submit paperwork is November 14 th What to wear: Carolers t-shirt/jeans/white long sleeve undershirt/sneakers/fun scarf Bring jacket and snacks for the breaks in between Exact schedule of the day: will be sent out the week before the tour
