1 Delta Fair Queen Age Divisions Rules Thank you for your participation in this year s Delta Fair Queen Pageant. The Delta Fair Pageant system is known for presenting elegant and beautiful young women from the Mid-South and the surrounding areas, so we are thrilled that you have chosen to be a part of this competition. In order to protect the integrity of the Fair Pageant and in honor of the tradition of the many preceding Delta Fair Queens, the rules and regulations are stated. Please read these rules carefully. It is important that you understand them as you move through the Delta Fair pageant process. 1. Contestants must compete in their age division based on their age on September 1st, You must be a U.S. citizen and can live anywhere in the Mid-South area to compete. Those living in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, or any surrounding state can compete, as long they are able to travel back to Memphis on their own expense during the week of the Delta Fair and any other appearances throughout the year. 3. Former Delta Fair Queen Pageants winners are not eligible to participate in the pageant the following year, even if they advance to the next level or age division. Employees of the Delta Fair and members of their families are not eligible to enter. 4. As a winner you must agree to make personal appearances on behalf of the Delta Fair during the week and throughout the year if requested. 5. All personal appearances, photo sessions, and picture releases as a Miss Delta Fair Pageant System winner must be approved in advance by the Delta Fair pageant system directors. 6. Some of the older newly selected queens may be asked to serve as hostess to events of the Delta Fair running until September 9 th, 2018 and until new winner is crowned the following year. At all events, Fair Royalty will be chaperoned by someone appointed by the committee. No friends may accompany the Queen or members of her Court at those events. 7. Any winner with illegal/negative photos or information posted on public websites could be subject to disqualification.

The pageant winner agrees to allow the pageant directors and the Delta Fair Association to use her picture or likeness on posters, websites, and other promotional materials as shall be solely determined by the Delta Fair pageant directors. 9. Neither the Delta Fair nor the committee will be responsible for loss of valuables while contestants are on the Delta Fairgrounds for rehearsal, contest, or the completion of the fair. Once prizes are awarded, the recipient will be held responsible. Also, it is not the Delta Fair s responsibility to guarantee any prizes donated by merchants.
