2 About the Event 2015 was the first year the JF Open & Dreamlight Team Challenge found its new home on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. Even though the timing of last year s event made it an intimate competition it was still hugely successful with all club s involved having a great time. This year will see the event move to July which we plan to make it its forever home will be even better again. Each year the event grows and we come up with more, more, more! These dates will be finalised based on provisional entries PROVISIONAL ENTRY CLOSING DATE In order to assist us with producing a DRAFT Competition Schedule for the event please submit the attached Provisional Entry Form along with a $100 deposit by Thursday 31 st March. This deposit will be taken off your final entry fees at the time of Official Entry. OFFICIAL ENTRY FORM & CLOSING DATE Complete Entry information along with payment via the JF Open & Dreamlight Team Challenge Official Entry Form is required by Monday 30 th May. This form and other relevant information will be sent to Clubs after receiving your provisional entry form. 3 EVENT INFORMATION JF OPEN TEAM CRITERIA Entry is for Australian Levels Program Levels 4 10 Limited Hours and Open sections 5 gymnasts per team. Top 3 scores on each apparatus to count toward team total. Clubs that cannot field a team are still most welcome and we will combine mixed teams based on numbers and you will be notified before the event which team your gymnasts have been combined with. JOKERS This is the fun part each team is allowed to play one Joker. Only 1 gymnast per team is nominated The Joker can only be played on Bars, Beam or Floor The Joker score is doubled towards the team score only, not the individual all-around score AWARDS Competition Level Awards Judging criteria Limited Hours Level 4 Limited Hours Level 5 Apparatus Certificates Limited Hours Level 6 Individual All Around: 1 st 6 th Place. All gymnasts pay this fee, even if they are entering the Tumbl Trak Cup or Dreamlight Team Challenge TRAINING Podium training will be available for Tumbl Trak Cup and Dreamlight Team Challenge Gymnasts Only. Training for all clubs will be made available at the MYC Gymnastics Club which is located in the same facility as the competition hall. A training booking form will be sent out with the official entry forms.

4 EVENT INFORMATION TUMBL TRAK CUP & DREAMLIGHT TEAM CHALLENGE ENTRY FEES This year only Level 9 & 10 Gymnasts are eligible for the Dreamlight Team Challenge so we have created a new section for Level 7 & 8 gymnasts called the Tumbl Trak Cup using exactly the same format as the Dreamlight Team Challenge. Gymnasts will be judged at their own level. Tumbl Trak Cup - $200 per team. This fee is on top of the individual entry fee as those gymnasts competing in this section get two competitions. (Gymnasts that enter this event also compete in the JF open) Dreamlight Team Challenge - $300 per team. This fee is on top of the individual entry fee as those gymnasts competing in this section get two competitions. (Gymnasts that enter this event also compete in the JF open). All gymnasts competing in this section will receive a Dreamlight Training Leotard as a gift. TEAM CRITERIA Entry is for Australian Levels Program Levels 7/8 for the Tumbl Trak Cup and Levels 9/10 for the Dreamlight Team Challenge 6 gymnasts per team 4 Gymnasts compete on each apparatus with the top 3 scores counting for the All-around team total. Top 3 scores on each apparatus to count toward team total. Each Team will be permitted should they need to co-opt one gymnast from another club in order to field or boost a team (so if you have any clubs close to you that may only have a couple of kids at the level you need it s a great chance to work together to give your higher level gymnasts an opportunity to compete in the best event in the world!) Each Team is to nominate their own team name / theme. Coaches are encouraged to dress up in keeping with the teams theme. Each Team is to prepare a 30 second choreographed run in/performance to their choice of music. JOKERS Each team nominates one gymnast from the team on each apparatus. The score for that apparatus will be doubled toward the team score but of course not the gymnast s All-Around score. Nominated gymnasts but be different on each apparatus. TRAINING Podium training will be available for Tumbl Trak Cup and Dreamlight Team Challenge Gymnasts Only. JUDGES Each Club entering the event is required to supply the number of judges per session as per below: 1-8 Competitors per session 1 Judge 9-16 Competitors per session 2 Judges 17+ Competitors per session 3 Judges All judges need to hold the relevant qualifications for the level / levels they have nominated to judge. Clubs will be fined $200 for not supplying a judge / judges to the event. As we all know you cannot run a competition without Judges so it is imperative that ALL Clubs supply judges.

6 OFFICIAL ENTRIES Official entries will be due by Friday 30 th May Entry Forms and all other relevant information and forms will be ed to clubs following the provisional entries being received. REFUNDS Withdrawals received after the official closing date for medical reasons will receive a partial refund of $ A medical certificate must be provided to Amco Gymnastics within one week of the completion of the competition at which time the refund will be issued back to the club. EVENT LEOTARD and T-SHIRT An event leotard and T-Shirt will be available for purchase. Information on the design, cost and how to order will be sent along with the official entry form. SPECTATOR ENTRY Tickets will be available at the door for session, day or event passes. Final ticket prices will be published in your event pack that will be sent out after entries are received. LIMITED HOURS REQUIREMENTS Gymnastics Victoria also has age divisions. For the Janssen Fritsen Open we will not be using age divisions. There are also apparatus specific apparatus amendments for the limited hour s levels.
