2 Milwaukee and Wisconsin Choice Open Enrollment Periods The Open Enrollment for both the Milwaukee and Wisconsin Choice programs will reopen April 1 st and run through April 20 th. For those families who already participate, you will need to complete the online application and submit proof of residency. Families who are new to the program will need to complete the online application and submit proof of residency and income. There are packets of information at the office. Link to the online application is: St. Gerard Scholarship We are pleased to announce that the St. Gerard Fund will be accepting applications for Catholic School Scholarships for students in grades 2 8. The St. Gerard Fund has expanded to provide scholarships to deserving 8 th graders who will be attending a Catholic high school in Milwaukee County. Please see the two page application in this week s mailer. The St. Gerard Fund will award up to 100 scholarships in the amount of $800 each to eligible students in grades 2-7, and $1000 to eligible 8 th grade students at selected schools. Mother/Son Dance Our Mother/Son Dance will take place on Saturday, April 14th. Please see the flyer in this week s mailer for more information. Parish Easter Egg Hunt Easter Sunday, April 1st, immediately following the 8:45am Mass, we will meet in the school courtyard. The hunt is open to all kids ages K4-3 rd Grade. In case of inclement weather we will meet in the St. Matthias Gym. Hope to see you there! VIP Day Our annual VIP Day will be held on Friday, April 27 th starting with Mass at 8:15. A flyer went home today with all students. Please make sure guests names are listed regardless of hot or cold lunch choice. Please return your RSVP no later than Monday, April 16 th. Save the Date We are happy to announce that this year s spring performance will be Shrek Jr. Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 3 rd at 1:00pm & 6:00pm as well as Friday, May 4 th at 6:30pm. Performances will be held in our school gym. They are free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated! Hope to see you there!

3 School Picnic Our annual school picnic will be held on Friday, June 1 st, see the flyer in this week s mailer for more information. We are in need of carnival prize donations, as well as supplies and candy. Please use the signup genius link below if you would like to help: Jump Rope for Heart Kick Off Over the next few weeks, we will be learning about how to take care of our hearts, spreading the message to friends and family, and helping others when we can! The American Heart Association will be coming to our campus on Wednesday, April 11 th to share Heart Healthy messages and kick off our event. The American Heart Association s goal is to improve the cardiovascular health of Americans. They will challenge our kids to start living a healthy lifestyle now to prevent problems later; and give them an opportunity to participate in a service learning project that funds the fight against heart diseases and stroke #1 and #5 cause of death in our country. Any student who registers using our school link and raises at least $ online before the kick off presentation, will be honored at the kick off and receive our limited edition Large Jax Plush. All donations must be received by noon the day before the kick off in order to receive JAX at the kickoff. Please follow the link below which will take you to our school site. Click here to learn how: How to use the app CMH Jr. Crusaders Tennis Program Our Catholic Memorial Tennis Program has run a tennis club the last two years for middle schoolers at Waukesha Catholic. This year we want to expand it to a few other Catholic schools in the area. Our CMH boys and girls tennis teams consist of over 100 CMH players each year. Our Jr. Crusader Tennis Program allows our student-athletes to serve others through our middle school program. When: On Sundays, April 15, 22, 29 & May 6, 20 from 3:00 4:00pm. Where: Heyer Park in Waukesha. We will meet at the shed and determine which courts we are on. What to bring: Tennis racquet, athletic apparel, water. If you do not have a racquet, let us know. To reserve a spot, parents should contact Jeff (Coach Mro) Mrochinski at via text or jmrochinski@catholicmemorial.net with their child's name, grade, school, and tennis experience (beginner, can keep a rally, or match play experience).
