Treasurer s Report: Dave S presented his report Renewals are due for members with AMA expiring on December 31 st. Membership Committee Report: There are 115 members (104 Adults and 11 Juniors). Safety Committee Report: No incidents. Field Maintenance Report:

Flight Instructors Report: Isidro Demeri completed his solo under the watchful eye of John South. Congrats! Old Business: Peter said we should be able to extend meeting at his café till end of February. Keep looking for a new venue. Several locations have been discussed, but no final selection made. New Business: Annual holiday club dinner event will be on January 26 th, at Sixteen Mile House. Tickets now on sale. $40 for adults. $20 for kids 12 and under. Contact Lew C. The Club voted and approved a raffle budget of $1,000. Donation of additional prizes are encouraged. Contest Reports/Upcoming Events: Several PCC members attended and volunteered at the Bayside Auction. Flight Instructors Report: Bosco, a purely drone racer, has been learning to fly fixed wing RC with the help of Dave S and Ray S. Show and Tell: 1) Dave S brought in a Gremlin Combat Wing from Gary Ware s collection. 2) John B showed his latest scratch built project. A flying wing with plastic baseball bat fuse. One high power inverter attached to the charging station caused a lot of damages to the charging station. It took Steve W 3+ hours and $$$ to repair the damages caused by the power inverter. 2

3 MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL PCC HOLIDAY BANQUET The PCC Holiday Banquet will be held on January 26th, Saturday, at the Most of the PCC memberships have the December 31st expiration date. And also your AMA membership will expire on that day too. With the exception of the members had multi-year memberships or the newer members that have the AMA membership expires in midyear. Take a look at your PCC membership badge, your membership expiration date will be the last day of the month indicated on the membership badge. That will be the expiration date of your AMA membership too. The late fee for PCC membership will be $25.00, if you do not renew before the expiration date. No Exception! And you will not be allowed to renew your PCC membership without a valid AMA membership of the year you are applying the membership for. Also you will not allow to fly without your AMA membership, NO EXCEPTION! Send in the AMA renewal early so you can have proof of AMA membership to renew PCC membership. AMA membership can be renew in two ways; Send your check in by snail mail or renew online. =/membership/renew or call AMA at For PCC renewal, go to and following the instruction. 4 NOVEMBER 1 ST - 4 TH, POMONA CA AMA West Expo was held at the Pomona Fairplex. This is a new venue for the AMA Expo. This Fairplex is big enough to have flight demo both outdoor and indoor. There were flying through out the 3 days event. I did not have a chance to venture outside the exhibit hall to take photos of the outdoor events. Indoor drone/airplane flying cage. Static competition display area. Massive foam jets display from Banana Hobby. More static competition display area. Which includes an all foam turbine powered Mirage. 4

5 Banana Hobby also has propeller-driven airplanes. 3-D Printed aircraft from MorganTech. Stevens Aeromodel is the only wood model vender at the show! More 3-D printed aircrafts from MorganTech.com. Common Sense RC has Lipo batteries and some very nice hard cases. Treasure trove! 5

8 GATE LOCK REFRESHER Cruz and Ramon. Who is having more fun? FAVORITE TOOL Take a picture of your favorite modeling tool, it to me with a brief description of how you use it and why it is you favorite tool. I will share it with our members. to pccedditor@gmail.com Here is my favorite tool for cutting wood. This is the PROPER WAY to secure the gate at PCC. It is too often the gate was found either locked incorrectly or left open. Do not bypass the RED lock. If you were the last person leaving the field, LOCK the gate. Use the rope to close the gate, loop the rope around the poles to keep the gate from knocking back and forth. If you are not sure how it should be done, please ask. All members should know the lock combination. JUST ONE MORE... Gyokucho 1150 Single Edged Flush Cutting Saw. The blade is only 0.3mm (0.012") thick! 8
