1 Welcome to Edition #1 of the Canton Chiefs Boys Soccer Newsletter in advance of the Fall 2018 season. Our Newsletter is just one of several avenues that we utilize to communicate pertinent information to all of the players and parents of our soccer program. We will also provide ongoing updates via , our website and through our social media sites on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. If you have not already connected with us, please find our website and bookmark it and then find each of our 3 social media accounts and please connect with us. The more followers we have, the more exposure our program gets and the more local businesses find value in partnering with us! / FACEBOOK / TWITTER / INSTAGRAM: Website: Facebook: Twitter: Instagram: @CantonChiefsSoccer
2 Eastern Michigan University Team Camp: Canton High School has a long standing tradition of inviting ALL returning Chiefs soccer players, in addition to ALL incoming Freshmen, to attend the EMU Team Soccer Camp as a means for kicking off the high school soccer season. While there is no requirement in attending, we have seen a direct correlation between the number of players who attend the camp and the performance of our Varsity, JV and Freshmen teams. First and foremost, this is a tremendous team bonding event at EMU as the players are housed together in the dormitories for the course of 3 days. Second, this camp allows our players to start bonding on the field in preparation for the upcoming season. Again, there is no formal requirement for attending, but we hope that each family will seriously consider having their current or future Chiefs player attend this camp. The dates for the 2018 Summer camp are as follows: Registration Link: July 29th-31st, 2018 (Sunday - Tuesday) Cost: $285 - register prior to May 1st $300 - register between May 1st and July 7th
3 The Canton Chiefs would like to welcome Kia of Canton as a 2018 Platinum Partner. Kia of Canton will be joining our existing partner, Soccer World, in helping us keep our status as one of the top high school programs and Booster organizations in the State of Michigan. Look for additional updates on how all three groups will be interacting between now and the start of our upcoming season. Below is a statement from Bruce Genthe, President of the Genthe Automotive Group, in regards to our new relationship: We are thankful for the opportunity to expand our support within the soccer community. We look forward to our new partnership with the Canton Chiefs Soccer Program Kia of Canton is located at Michigan Avenue just west of Haggerty with additional information found on their website at Again, thank you to Bruce Genthe and Kia of Canton for their support this upcoming season!
