1 Principals Report: Kinder Orientation TUESDAY SEPT 16, 2014 TERM 3, WEEK 10 The Kinder Orientation and Transition program will commence on Wednesday, 15 th October and continue every Wednesday until 19th November. Students will be able to come to school until Recess for the first two Wednesdays and until for the next four Wednesdays. They will participate in all sorts of fun activities, giving them a taste of school life. Enrolment packs will be available for parents at the Parent Meeting on the first orientation day Enrolments The school is now taking enrolments for Please contact the school for more information. Lost Property Please label all of your children s belongings with their names. Our lost property basket is full of unlabelled jumpers and lunch boxes. If your child has lost an item, please ask them to look for it in the basket or you are welcome to have a look through at any time Spring Fair Our P&C major fundraiser, The Spring Fair, will be held on Saturday, 18 th October from 10am to 4pm. Anyone interested in helping in the organisation please contact Michelle Gould. More information follows in this newsletter and also on our website. Movie Night Fundraiser Our Movie Night last week raised $434 towards our fundraising for the students. These funds are used to buy such things as gardening equipment, seedlings, seeds, fertilizer, mulch and other gardening supplies as well as items for our sensory area such as a hammock swing, see saw and balance equipment. Thanks everyone for your support! Rewards Days Class rewards days will be held this week. Unfortunately those students who have had 3 or more time outs this term are not eligible to attend. Spelling Bee Congratulations to all who competed in the Spelling Bee last week. Well done! A terrific effort to Ethan Sorbello who achieved second place! Milo Cricket Students from our school are participating in the Milo Cricket Days this week. Year 5 and 6 went today and Year 3 and 4 go tomorrow. I know they will have a great day and will be great representatives of our school. Assembly Congratulations to Kindergarten who were named Class of the Week and will look after Garbi for the next week. 3 Year 2 News This week we are continuing learning about dinosaurs. On Thursday we are having our rewards day. We are going to do some dinosaur cooking and watch a movie. Have a happy and safe holiday. See you all in Term 4. Year 3 News Mrs Bartlett Just a reminder for students wanting to dress up for our rewards day this Thursday to bring in their costumes. They must represent either past or future. Milo Cup is on tomorrow at Coffs Harbour. A note will be given to the parents who indicated they can provide transport so they know who they will be taking. Also keep an eye out for the Woolgoolga Advertiser this Saturday as our class should have a write up in it. No homework this week.
