2 PRESIDENTS MESSAGE: It s August and time to start spreading the word about our next class which will begin on September 14 th, a few short weeks away. Our classes are very important to the Club because of the potential for adding to our Club membership. Soon, the flyers advertising the class will be ready. Then, we need your help. We will advertise on social media and put ads in the papers, but the best way to get the word out is by word of mouth. Ask your neighbors, friends, the clerk at the store where you shop, members of your church, your gym, hobby group or any organization you belong to. Do you go anywhere with a bulletin board where one of our flyers could be posted? Can you post a flyer somewhere in the community where you live? Does your community have a newsletter we could advertise in? We will also have cards that you can pass out advertising our class. If I ve missed anything, let me know. Start talking about the class now. Classes will start on September 14 th from 7:00 to 9:00. Singles, couples, and families with children 3 rd grade and older are welcome. You can join any time during the first three weeks. We will begin the class downstairs in the Canyon Lake City Hall. The first week is free. After that we are asking for a weekly $5.00 donation. See you in a square! Look for the flyer in this newsletter. Please make copies and pass them out. (Flyers are not necessary but make good reminders and have the address). AND GET TOGETHER We have reserved the group room at the Menifee Pizza Factory and hope the Twirlers and their friends will join us at 5:30 for dinner. The Menifee Pizza Factory is located in the Stater Bros Shopping Center at the corner of Murrieta Rd and Newport Road. TAKE US OUT TO THE BALL GAME : Some of the Twirlers will be joining members of the Cowtown Singles on Wednesday, August 17 th to see the Lake Elsinore Storm play the Inland Empire. Saturday, August 27 th Demo at the Western Country Music Competition in Temecula SIGN UP TO HELP WITH HOSPITALITY: Do you like having snacks and drinks at the Wednesday Workshop? Would you like to see the Twirlers continue to have their monthly dances at the Lodge? This could all end if we don t get volunteers to help with Hospitality. The Hospitality team would like a break!! So no one is stuck with helping all the time (unless you want to), we are asking Club members to volunteer to help. (Guys, that means you too.) What would you have to do? On Wednesday, come a little early to help set up stay a little after to help clean up. If we get enough volunteers you would only have to help once a month or even less. At the Sunday dances you would help set up, help with clean up, and help serve. You get to dance in between. And, it wouldn t have to be every month. See Jackie and get your name on the list of volunteers. I really like those snacks on Wednesday and I like dancing in the Lodge. I d hate to see it end.
