Club Vision Activities: Youth Vision Screening Update: Our Screening program will be gearing up again soon. We were very active last year and plan to continue that pace. This past year ( ) our vision screening numbers were: 12 school screenings with 2,450 students screened, and an additional 78 persons screened at the Health and Wellness Fair on June 23 rd. If you would like to help with our Club s vision screening, please let Lion Kevin Tomasu (ktomasu@hunterfamilyvision.com) or Lion Burt Schreiber (drschreiber@fairwayeye.com) know what days are good for you. In addition, if you have a school or church or other organization you would like the committee to contact, please let them know. Eye Glass Collection Update: Chairman Brian Harris recommends three ways to get eye glasses to him during July: 1. Drop them by Leawood City Hall and put them in the Oak Room storage closet. If you do this please or text / call him ( ) and tell him you have done so. This will alert him to pick up the glasses. 2. Bring them to the July 18 board meeting. 3. Contact him to arrange a pickup point that is convenient for both. He is fine with dropping by your home or business. { } Page 3

4 Lion Brian reports that our eye glass collection efforts in resulted in 8,000 eye glassed collected, sorted and turned in. Lion Brian thanks all the members who participate in this worthy project. As we know these glasses are a life saver for the persons who end with them. Lion Vania Castro, who is our Zone 4 chair, informed us that our 8,000 eye glasses were easily the most collected by any of the 8 clubs in the Zone. The total collected by Zone 4 Clubs was 15,000 so the Leawood Lions collected over half of all glasses for the Zone.
