1 Presents: The Candy Land Classic NBTA Open Sanction Number: Time: Doors open at 7:30 AM, contest starts at 8:00 AM Location: Waukesha North High School 2222 Michigan Ave Sponsor: Directors: Anna Spiers and Aryn Swann ( ) Deadline: MARCH 22 nd, 2019 Checks Payable to: General Information: Food and beverages will be provided and available throughout the day. No coolers or carry ins. Ample practice space is provided within the facility. Contest directors, staff, and the Waukesha County School District are not responsible for lost/stolen/damaged property, accident, or injury during the competition. NBTA solo and team rules will be followed. Competition will begin with rhythmic, show twirl, and teams, followed by model, strut, solo events. Model Pageant winners and Peppermint Strut Cup qualifying contestants will be announced during the lunch break. There will be a $5.00 per person door fee charged, seniors $3.00, 3 years old & younger free, competitors free. No late entries. No refunds or credits. Solo and team entries must be submitted by mail, postmarked by March 22 nd, Any entry postmarked after March 22 nd, 2019 will be charged a $10 late fee. Any changes to an entry after the deadline will be changed a $10 administrative fee. 2 Event Specifications: Age Divisions will be as follows: 0-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16+ (contest age as of 9/1/2018) Model: o Open: in costume, no interview in any division (top 3 awards) o Dress: model in age appropriate dress length, only BEG/ADV divisions, NO interview (top 3 awards) o Princess Lolly : novice model pageant, in costume, NO interview (top 3 awards) o Queen Lolly : beginner model pageant, in costume, has an interview (top 3 awards) o Queen Frostine : advanced model pageant, in costume, has an interview (top 3 awards) Strut: o Basic strut: top 3 awards o Open, in-state, visitor: top 3 awards o The Peppermint Strut Cup: THIS IS A SUPER-X/X-STRUT style event, NOT a basic strut, the event will be divided by the regular age groups (0-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16+), however there will be NO division by difficulty (Nov, Beg, Int, Adv), once all the competitors have competed, the TOP 5 in EACH age division will be announced and advance to the FINAL ROUND. Solo: o Open, in-state, visitor: top 3 awards o Gumdrop Cup: the event will be divided by the regular age groups (0-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16+), however there will be NO division by difficulty (Nov, Beg, Int, Adv), once all the competitors have competed, the TOP 5 in EACH age division will be announced and advance to the FINAL ROUND, the time limit will be 1:30-2:30 Remaining events: o Rhythmic and show twirl: top 3 awards, to assist in the flow of the competition please submit an MP3 of your music to twirlingclub@sbcglobal.net, as backup bring music on a CD disk, or device compatible with a standard male headphone jack o Two baton, three baton, duet: top 3 awards o Miss Photogenic: top three awards, 5x7 picture, submitted by 10:15am ADDITIONAL AWARDS MAY BE ADDED TO LARGE GROUPS Team events: o Danceline, poms, dance twirl, halftime, twirling team: $5.00/member (maximum $50.00), top 3 awards, to assist in the flow of the competition please submit an MP3 of your music to twirlingclub@sbcglobal.net, bring music on a CD disk, or device compatible with a standard male headphone jack o Corps: $50.00 flat fee, top 3 awards, to assist in the flow of the competition please submit an MP3 of your music to twirlingclub@sbcglobal.net, bring music on a CD disk, or device compatible with a standard male headphone jack
