It s almost here!!! The 110 th Anniversary week is fast approaching and we are going to have so much going on! Four different bands each day, a beer tent and a bar in the back of Uke s #2 (located across the parking lot), Uke s #2 will be open with quick need items, tons of different vendors, cigar lounge, food court and let s not forget the biggest of all - Bubba Blackwell is going to do a jump on Saturday August 31st! We have been planning this for so long and it is hard to contain our excitement! Thank you for all who have already volunteered for the event, but we could always use more hands! 3 Raffle Ticket sales are going well. This is my first time handling the bike raffle and so far almost 35% of the tickets have been returned. The 4 that have been putting in lots of hours at Uke s have turned in the most! So if you have the time to sit by Uke s front door, you will have a terrific opportunity to sell you tickets. Joan, Paul, John, and Sue/Steve Together you ve turned in 50 envelopes that s 1500 tickets! If you have already sold your envelope, turn them in to Uke s or at the next Chapter meeting. We will be selling tickets at Uke s Open House on the days leading up to the drawing and we would like many of you to help. Before we can have the drawing we need to account for all of the tickets so they all need to be back at Uke s before the drawing date. Enjoy the nice weather! Vicki Maloney 3

4 Hello Everyone! The picnic was great and we had some nice weather. Good food and good company, what more could you ask for. Thank you to everyone for organizing, cooking and bring food and drink. We had some great July rides going on. Now let's see what's happening for August. Sat. Aug. 3rd. Franks Brunch Run leaving Uke's at 9:30. This was a great time last year. Contact Dave Walther for more details. Thurs. Aug. 15th. SELLING RAFFLE TICKETS ON BIKE NIGHT AT THE HARLEY- DA- VIDSON MUSEUM!!!! Come one, come all and help sell out the raffle tickets. Keith has gotten us a prime spot to sell tickets and the bike will be there. There are a ton of people there. Please all come out and help sell, sell, sell. Keith will also be leading a ride up to bike night. Leaving Uke's at 6:00 PM. Sat. Aug. 17th. Kettle Moraine Ride leaving Marathon Gas Station at Rt. 83/50 11:00 am Sharp. Ride ending at Tuscan's Tavern & Grill in Lake Geneva bring your stamp books. Ride is about 100 miles of beautiful WI country roads. Questions, see Sandy Rapey. Sun. Aug. 25th. ALS Ride more info to follow see Scott Echert. AUG. 28TH through SEPT 1ST HAPPY 110TH BIRTHDAY BASH. Ukes. Our bike raffle will be Sept. 1st. Let's all try hard to work together to sell raffle tickets we have a month to go. If you have envelopes of tickets sold get them turned in. 5 Easy M& M Cookies Joan Lesko 1 white or yellow cake mix 1/3 cup vegetable oil 2 eggs 1 1/4 cup plain M& M's Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together cake mix, eggs, and oil in a large bowl until mix is dissolved. Mix M & M's into dough. I use the minis M&M's the real little M&M's Drop balls of dough onto greased baking sheet. Bake 9-12 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from pan when cool. Reese's Cookies Joan Lesko 1 chocolate cake mix 2 eggs 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1 bag small-size Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together cake mix, eggs, and oil in a bowl until all the cake powder is absorbed. Place peanut butter cup in the center of the ball of dough. Make sure the cup is completely covered by the dough. Remember to take the paper off of the peanut butter cups. Bake cookies 8-10 minutes, or until done. Remove from pan and cool. I brought these cookies to the picnic. I hope you enjoy them. Joan 5

6 News From The Head Road Captain Hope everyone is out riding and enjoying the weather that we are having. I hope everyone had a good time at the picnic. By the time you read this we will have had another fish fry ride and rides to Bakes, Crandell s, Upper Krust and possibly rides to Frank s Diner and the Dane County Farmer s Market. It has been great to see more and more riders out on these rides. Keep an eye out on the calendar for updates on rides or just an opportunity to go out and ride with fellow members. Remember next month is the big celebration in Milwaukee. Keep the shiny side up and keep riding. Gym HOG Chapter ride
