2 2014 Newsletter Schedule Notional Important Websites: NOSO: Ohio North: Beth Hayes, President: Decision on NOSO scholarship for senior class o 1 boy scholarship and 1 girl scholarship Tammi Graf, Vice President: Travel team o Date and times provided in travel committee and s o Determine what to be evaluated o Running into makeup games for travel tryouts o John and Steven, Travel Directors to provide s to all coaches to block schedule for games Dates confirmed as June 3 rd and 4 th Try out registrations to determine how many will be coming to tryouts for age groups Who should evaluate players o By laws state coaches should be there to evaluate players o 6 evaluators at one time possibly 4 o Beth, President to forward s of evaluators Heather Holland, Treasurer: Financials are up to date through April 30 th ; ready for review with Beth Working with Mike regarding allocation of in-house monies Unable to obtain sponsorship from Fox8 for NOSO cup All invoices are paid to date, including the Cup invoices Spoke with Simon from Challenger o Plans to have trainer at Saturday games on the 31 st to pass out flyers and speak to people about the camp. 3 Kevin Graf, Director of Public Relations: Proposed option to add office centrix to all different offices of the board members o Each board member would have their own s from NOSO.com Table voting o Website updated daily NOSO Cup teams for Dick s Sporting Goods sponsorship Registrations for NOSO camp through website Foot skills was well attended Table In-house link for website Ken Janosek, NOSO Cup: More teams have registered o Ahead of teams from last year o 57 teams registered o Teams signing up from IL, MI, Windsor CAN, IN, MD, MN o Need local teams Coaches to pass out flyers for NOSO cup at games Girls turning out in high age brackets o U18 & U19 American Solutions entering a team Will speak to Walter to see if Excalibur teams are entering Will also check with Concordia Next meeting May 27 th Handling soccer balls for the tournament coaches Dicks Sporting Goods will sponsor tournament ($2000 cash with coupons) Post banners at fields will hang at fields during weekends Will collect banners from Dicks Sporting Goods Advertise is Arturo s looking for more advertisement John Loftus, Director of : No report. 4 Mike Rollins, Registrar: In-house started halfway done with season Will meet with Marty for trophies Will send Heather, treasurer list of checks and cash within the week Thank you Pete, Director of Referees for keeping up with ref s Steve Reyes, Boys Travel Director: Make-up games all away for boys John Daniels, Girls Travel Director: Girls Travel o Game was moved Tried to review s unable to get on AASL Needed to break U-12, 13 and 14 girls by rescheduling the game that got moved Travel coaches not advising pulling girls Pete Meckes, Director of Referees & Schedules: In-house ref scheduled in flex 2 refs cannot work games o Trying to work out with other refs Travel games had a glitch in system. o Games changed prior to game time o Changed from 2 to 3 was able to get a ref for the game Games with scores by refs that should not have been a goal o Balls should cross line in order to count Marty Hayes, Director of In-house Coaches: No Report.
