1 INVITATION TO VIVIDHA Dear Principal, It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that D.A.V Public School, Jasola Vihar is going to host VIVIDHA, a three day Inter School Confluence (09 th to 11 th Nov 2016).. Through VIVIDHA we seek to bring out and felicitate young talent and inculcate a healthy competitive spirit in them. Please refer to the attachments for details of Competitions and Participation Form. The host team will participate but not contest for any position. Kindly send the complete Participation Form to the host school by 27 th October, 2016 through /post or personally. One teacher can escort the participating team(s). Registration will be between 8.00 am to 8.30 am on all the days. Punctuality will be highly appreciated. The elimination round / knock out for the competition concerned will begin at 9.00 am sharp on all the days. The escort teacher shall collect refreshment coupons at the time of registration. 5 General Rules for Regulations: 1. Topic will be given on the spot. 2. Duration one and half hour. 3. Images, videos etc will be provided by the host school. 4. Textual matter on the topic will be prepared by the participants on the spot. 5. Use of any USB, CD or any other storage media will not be accepted. This will disqualify the team. 6. Internet Accessibility will not be provided to download information and pictures from the websites. 7. Only one entry from a school will be allowed. 8. Maximum participants in each team will be 2 (Two).

6 Topic : - Eco Engineered products Kabad Se Jugad Date: 09 th November 2016, Wednesday This event encourages students to reuse or upcycle items that would normally be thrown away into functional items. Up-Cy-Cle(Verb) to reuse discarded objects or materials to create new products for better environmental value Category : a) Classes VI-VIII (Bio-degradable) b) Classes IX XII (Non- Biodegradable) Rules and Regulations Only 1 display per category will be considered. No. of participants will be 2 per category. Students should bring only one project for each category. The exhibit should be made only from bio-degradable & non-biodegradable waste as specified. No new items purchased from the market should be incorporated. Judgement will be on the basis of Display, Explaination, Innovative ideas used and creativity. 7 Music Competition Date: 9 th November 2016, Wednesday There will be 3 categories in Music (a) Folk Song for classes VI-X(Group) (b) Hori for classes III V (Solo) (c) Ghazal for classes XI-XII ( Solo) Rules and Regulations for Group Folk:- Time limit will be 5 6 minutes students in a group (excluding accompanists). Recorded tunes are not allowed. No electronic or western instruments allowed. Upto three instruments can be used. Judgment criteria: (a) Coordination. (b) Singing quality (c) Overall presentation. Rules and Regulations for Solo Hori:- Time limit will be 6 8 minutes. Recorded tunes are not allowed. Only harmonium and tabla are allowed. No vocal assistance by the accompanists will be allowed. Judgment criteria : (a) Quality of Swar. (b) Pronounciation. (c) Composition. (d) Overall Presentation. Rules and Regulations for Solo Ghazal:- Time limit will be 4 5 minutes. Recorded tunes are not allowed. Only harmonium and tabla are allowed. No vocal assistance by the accompanists will be allowed.

Only one entry from school will be allowed in each category. 3. The teams will arrange their own instruments. 4. The decision of judges will be final and binding. 5. Two minutes will be given to each team / participants for stage setting. This will be excluded from the time limit of the presentation. 6. The teams will be required to remove their stage settings immediately after the performance. 7. Marks will be deducted if time limit exceeds. 9 Nukkad Natak Competition Topic : - Social Issues Category : III-IV Rules and Regulations Date: 10 th November 2016, Thursday No. of participants should be between Time Limit : 12 minutes Warning Bell : 10 mins Final bell : After 2 mins Language can be Bi-lingual. Props, music and posters etc to be brought by the participating school. No items will be provided by the host school. The uniformity of dress is must. The competition will be conducted in the MPH 1. Theme of Competition : Current Affairs It will cover all branches of knowledge based *Religion & Philosophy *Language and Literature * Heritage and Monument *Entertainment *Games and Sports *Constitution *Administration *Socio-Economic and Political development of India * Scientific development. 2. Medium of Instruction: - English 3. Senior Group (Classes IX to XII), 4. Two (02) s in one team 5. One teacher can accompany the team. 6. An elimination round(written) will be held to select the 3 teams for Final round. 7. Elimination round will contain questions based on the theme of the quiz. 8. 11 Sports Competition Date: 10 th November 2016, Thursday We will be organizing a Volleyball Tournament. Rules and Regulations: 1. The rules and regulations will be as per the volleyball federation of India. 2. The Tournament shall be conducted on knockout basis. 3. Players should be the bonafide students of your school. 4. Tournament is for Senior Boys only. Team members should be born on or after The Team will consist of 12 players, who should be with proper kit and be accompanied by a P.E.T. / coach. 6.
