1 SECOND BELLY DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY CONTEST KEDA AHO MADRID 2019 D Ambra Dance Project is, once again, organizing a Belly Dance Choreography Contest Keda Aho Madrid in order to stimulate and spread the performing arts related to Belly Dance, giving the dance studios and students registered in the workshops of the International Belly Dance Festival Keda Aho the opportunity to present their choreography in front of a team of expert teachers. RULES AND CONDITIONS 1.1- The contest is aimed at dance studios, groups, dance companies and soloists with levels from amateur to advanced and professional who are registered in the Keda Aho Madrid 2019 Festival workshops The Contest will take place on Friday, February 8 (from 15:00 to 19:00) in the Auditorio Obispo Perelló (C/José del Hierro, 2). Each participant will be scheduled for a specific time. Please be present at least one hour before your designated time as the organization will comply strictly with the schedule of performances, regarding the possibility of moving some of the performances forward The Contest is specific to the Belly Dance genre, including Classical Belly Dance, Belly Dance Fantasy, Baladi and Folkloric Arab Dances The established Categories are: Oriental Amateur Professional All levels Drum Solo All levels Folklore All levels * The participants must be of legal age. In case of the contestant being a minor, you must attach a parental consent In order to participate Only those who have registered in the Keda Aho Madrid Festival workshops and have paid the Contest registration fee will have their spot guaranteed The organization reserves the right to integrate categories together if the minimum number of participants (this being 8), is not reached, as well as the right to create new categories if needed.

2 1.7- The choreography: Oriental Amateur Professional The piece s duration must be between 3 30 y 4 Drum Solo Folklore * Pieces that exceed the time limit will not be accepted The use of water, fire, confetti and/or any other object or substance that may affect the stage is prohibited. Dancers should remove any props left on the stage at the end of their performance. THE CONTEST AND ITS DEVELOPEMENT 2.1- The Contest will take place on Friday, February 8 (from 15:00 to 19:00) in the Auditorio Obispo Perelló (C/José del Hierro, 2) Both the order of performance of the different categories and the order within each one of them will be sent to the participants by 15 days in advance There will not be opportunity to rehearse on the stage prior to the event, however, the organization will send you a plan of the stage and some videos of performances that have taken place on the stage of the Obispo Perelló Auditorium in order for the choreographers and dancers to study the performance space (on request) The day of the Contest, the participants should be present at the Auditorium at least one hour prior their designated performance time. Each solo dancer, duet and dance company manager should check in at the theater reception to pick up their accreditations The performance music should be sent prior to January 1, 2019 to concurso@alessandradambra.com indicating the name of the group, its members, the title of the piece and whether the dancers begin on stage or enter with the music. The day of the Contest, the soloists, duets and the group managers should bring a CD containing solely the performance music and the name of the performer/group written on it. This CD will only be used in case of a technical glitch In order to not favor any dancer or group, all Contest participants will have the same conditions of lights and sound.

3 METHOD OF REGISTRATION 3.1- In order to participate in the Belly Dance Choreography Contest Keda Aho Madrid 2018 a registration form must be filled. It can be requested via the concurso@alessandradambra.com This form should be filled out and sent to the above mentioned It is possible to participate in more than one category by paying a separate registration fee. This implies that it would be possible to participate as an Amateur Soloist and at the same time participate in the Group category, but it would not be possible to participate, for example, as a Professional Soloist and Amateur Soloist at the same time The festival organization will strictly comply with order in which the entries are received until the number of participants is complete in each category Registration fees: Oriental Amateur 30 Professional /member Drum Solo 30 Folklore If the registered dancer(s) do not attend the contest, the registration fee will not be refunded.

Performance at Keda Aho, On Fire! 300 Trophy and medals s Performance at La Gran Noche Oriental Second s s Third s * All monetary s will be awarded in cash All participants will be presented with a certificate from the Belly Dance Contest Keda Aho Madrid All the winners will receive photos and video of the performance Keda Aho, On Fire! will take place on Friday, February 8 at 21:00, once the Contest has ended. La Gran Noche Oriental will take place on Saturday, February 9 at 21: The jury, together with the Festival s organization, can offer the winner of the first place category Professional Soloist, a special, offering the opportunity to give a workshop at D Ambra Dance Project Dance School during the 2018/2019 course.

5 JURY AND SCORING 5.1- The jury will be different for each level and will be comprised of groups of three experts of Belly Dance and the Performing Arts Points will be given on a scale of 5 to 10, including decimal numbers of a tenth and will be assessed in the following aspects of choreographic composition: 1. Technique and Style 2. Choreography and musicality 3. Stage presence and expressiveness 4. Staging and costuming 5.3- At the end of each category, the results of the previous category will be announced to the public and the participants The qualifications, described in precise detail, as well as the position obtained, will be communicated later by . GENERAL INFORMATION 6.1- Tickets to Belly Dance Contest Keda Aho Madrid 2019 can be acquired by bank transfer, contacting us in advance via , or in D Ambra Dance Project Dance School at C/ Montesa, 43 (property F) Madrid. The day of the Contest, tickets will also be available at Auditorio Obispo Perelló (C/ José del Hierro, 2) The ticket price for the Contest is 5.
