1 10/13/2016 Senior Night Senior Profiles The Summit Country Day School Lady Knights Career stats Coach dedication Teammate dedications Individual awards Ranking in school history Note to parents Senior pages Elise Becker 2 Jess DeJesus 3 Jennifer Whitehead 4 Izzy Yagodich 5 Four Seniors Celebrate High School Careers Four seniors will be ending their careers at the end of the season. A look back at their time spent as part of the Summit s soccer program show their involvement in many important games 9/25/13: a huge 1-0 win over rival CCD; 8/16/14: a convincing season opening 4-0 win against Cardinal Mooney; 9/127/14: a 6-1 demolition of nemesis Bishop Fenwick; 10/25/14 District title vs. Fenwick & 11/1/14 Regional title vs. CCD; 10/1/15: a 3-1 come-from-behind win vs. rival CCD; 11/7/17: an add your own adjective win 2-0 over Badin; 11/13/15: a state championship and a conclusion of a perfect 2015 season; 9/10/16: a 2-1 win over Indian Hill & 10/1/16: a 2-0 win over undefeated and #2 ranked Lehman Catholic. The cumulative statistics for the senior class: 13 varsity letters, 157 games played, 106 games started, 168 shots, 130 shots on goal, 48 goals scored, 10 game winners, 47 goals assisted, 143 total points and 65 wins, including the 2015 state championship. Two win be pursuing a collegiate career in athletics. The Seniors Vital Importance The 2015 dream season that ended with a perfect record and state championship had so many stories and memories. But the four seniors in this senior class may be overlooked when measured to their previous teammates. Nine seniors last year comprised the leadership core and six went on to become collegiate athletes. The current juniors are incredibly talented and contributed heavily on the field. These four seniors were just as important to the success of championship and gained great value in the experiences of last season. Jennifer learned the importance of being part of something and staying with a task because it drives your passion. She made a mature decision to forego playing this season to pursue the lead in the school play, yet had remained involved by keeping the scorebook at every game. Izzy has learned to be patient during rehab, yet has remained very involved simply being present leading the pre-game cheer, filling water and even taping ankles in Amber s absence. Elise has simply been a mainstay, working incredibly hard every training and match, learning to lead and balancing an incredibly busy academic and extracurricular schedule. Jess is a role model we are all heart broken she has been unable to complete her career on the field. But her attitude has not changed. She designs and leads strength and conditioning on Tuesdays, a gift she has given the program as she is sharing her passion for nutrition and fitness. She will forever be the player who scored the game winning goal in the 2015 state championship game.

She will end her career with almost 80 games played which will rank in the top 10 in program history. This is a statement of her ability to stay healthy and to perform. I am most appreciative of her acceptance to move to defense as a sophomore. The move solidified our defense and became such an importance function of the state championship team last year. Her role on that team was as important as any player and that embodies who Elise is she knows the importance of a role and fulfilling every aspect of a defined role. She has now stepped into the role of leader. Leading a group of peers is not an easy task for a teenager, but as she does with everything in her life, Elise accepts the challenge and looks to constantly improve herself. -Coach Fee Elise, As a goalie you always want a strong defender in front of you. Thank you for doing such a great job and making my job so much easier. We are so lucky to have you as our captain this year. I know it s not easy having to step up and do a lot of things on your own but you have done such a nice job. You have carried a big load this year and I know I speak for the team when I say we appreciate your leadership and example. Your ability to excel in the classroom and on the soccer field is amazing. Our team is blessed to have you as our role model. We love you and will miss you a lot. The team won t be the same without you next year. Thanks for all you have done for our team. Keep up the leadership...we are not done yet! Mimi Stines, Class of 2017

She was closing in on some major program records. But true to Jess s personality, she has accepted the disappointment and is embracing her next challenge recovery and preparation for her collegiate career at High Point University. I am most appreciate for Jess s soccer IQ. She knows the game as well as any player I have ever coached. And she knows the importance of preparation fitness, diet, strength training. She has brought this elevated knowledge to her teammates. - Coach Fee Jess scored the game winning goal in the 2015 state championship game Dear Jess, Thank you for being the person I looked up to for 3 years at Summit on the soccer field and in school. You may not know this but I came to the summit soccer camp in 7th and 8th grade and there was a really cool girl there named Jess and I knew I wanted to be exactly like her. so here I am at Summit. You have done so much for me, making an effort to always be there to give your opinion and talk when no one else will. I know I can text you at anytime just to get things off my chest or just talk about soccer. I love you so much Jessica and don't forget it!! You are a beautiful person inside and out. 4&5 forever. Love, Maddie Brault, Class of 2018

Jennifer is one of those athletes coaches love to have as a part of their programs. She works hard every time she takes the field, she is supportive of her teammates, she obviously cherishes being past of the program, she asks questions geared toward selfimprovement and she is willing to fill any role. Jennifer has taken full advantage of her opportunities, not just in soccer, but in the arts as well. Jennifer just enjoys being part of something, whether it be on the athletic field or on stage. And she is acknowledged by her peers in this. It is great role modeling for the younger kids in the program. Thank you Jennifer for bringing enthusiasm each day and for challenging me to be a better coach. I have always appreciated your desire to learn and improve. -Coach Fee Jen is the only member of the soccer senior class to play three different sports in high school Jennifer, Even though you have not been able to be out with us on the field, you always bring a positive and fun-loving attitude to every game. Your presence as team manager has been essential to the great season we have had so far. You are consistently supportive and enthusiastic, and you truly embody the team s value of sisterhood. What is most admirable about you is how dedicated you are to all aspects of your life. We can find you on stage displaying your talents in one of our school s musicals, showing your strong leadership abilities on the soccer or lacrosse teams, or playing an active role in one of our many clubs. If you have a passion for something, you will work as hard as you can to reach the goals you have set for yourself in those areas. Your sense of humor, your approachable personality, and your infectious laugh are just a few of the things that make you such a joy to be around. I know that all of the girls, including myself, will miss you on and off the field next year. However, I m sure it won t be long before we see you in a major blockbuster Hollywood movie or casted in the next Broadway hit. Jenna Eveslage, Class of 2018
5 Page 5 Izzy Yagodich #21 Izzy Varsity letter Varsity letter TOTALS Izzy s rankings in team history: Games played, career (12) T215 th Goals, career (2) T133 rd Assists, career (4) T74 th Multiple assist game (1) T42 nd Points, career (8) T115 th Izzy is committed to play lacrosse at Mercer University next year, the 10th member of the 2015 state championship team to be committed to or currently playing a college sport 2015 All Southwest Ohio Academic; State Champion! 2016 All Southwest Ohio Academic; All Ohio Academic Izzy will acknowledge that her transfer to Summit was an important and needed change in her life. But she probably does not know how much the Summit has benefitted from her arrival. Izzy bringing confidence, swagger and a presence to every task. But what many don t see are the little things she does to make the program better. She will offer to fill the water jugs, to tape an ankle or to mentor a freshman. These small things make the entire program stronger and better. I am heartbroken that she has been unable to return to the field, but am so grateful that she is a continued presence on the sideline. Izzy has a unique personality that has brought so much to not only the soccer program, but to the greater Summit community. I am looking forward to her return to the lacrosse field in the spring. -Coach Fee IZZY! Where do I begin?!? Thank you so so much for being my second mom this year! You are there for me on and off the field and I can t express how grateful I am for that. You re always there to help prior and during games with my many problems and to be the stand-in for Amber. The hilarious moments never stop and you continue to make my days brighter. I wish you could be on the field with us this seaon, but you got to make sure you re back to 100%! I can t wait to watch you dominate in lax this season. You ve got huge things in your future, Mercer has a good one coming. I am glad that I have gotten to create so many memories with you! You the Best!! Love you, Lily Melink, Class of 2018
6 Dear Mom and Dad, I can t believe that it is already my senior night. Thank you so much for always being my number one fans. You have both put in so much time for me and I can t thank you enough. You re always there whenever I need you and I know I can always count on you both. I don t know what I would've done with you guys. Love you both so much, Elise Dear mom & dad, Thank you for always supporting me. You have always encouraged me to pursue anything I desire, and push me to succeed. I have never felt scared to try something new, and I have never backed out of something for fear of your disapproval. You have always stood by me and kept me going. Thank you for being my #1 fans! Love, Jennifer Hi mommy and daddy, Thank you so much for everything you have done for me over the years. It's beyond crazy to think where we started 4 short years ago and where we are now, my last soccer season ever (finally)!!! Thank you for all of the many games you have come to and cheered me on (or my team in the case of the last 9 months), I don't think I would have made it without you! The good news is, you get 4 more years of watching me play. Thanks so much for everything, I love you both very much!! Xoxo Isabella Ann Thank you mom and dad for everything you have done for me throughout my soccer career. I cannot imagine where I would be without you both always pushing me to be the best player and person I could be. Thank you for putting up with my injuries and for always being that "rock" that I can rely on in my life to get me through the road blocks that pop up. Love you guys, Jess
