10 Tuesday 7:30 Topaz Drill Class Since dancers will be warm from Mock Audition... the drill class will be just that... repetition of every leap and turn in our repertoire plus adding new ones! Bring a water bottle for sure!!!

We will begin with a cardio focused warmup and exercises concentrating on strengthening the muscles.

11 Monday 3:30 ACRO Emerald/ Sapphire Flex/ Conditioning/ Acro Skills This will be a combination class that really challenge the dancers' strength and flexibility. We will begin with a cardio focused warmup and exercises concentrating on strengthening the muscles. After the dancers are fully warmed up we will switch to increasing flexibility in both the upper and lower body. Finally dancers will work to master basic acro skills such as walkovers, elbow stands, standing back bends and hand stands.

The last thirty minutes of this class will be mock auditions. The students will learn a new combination each week. Various dance styles such as hip hop, jazz, musical theater and contemporary will be covered. Just as in a real audition the students will learn a combo very quickly, be given a set amount of time to go over the steps and then be divided into groups and perform for the Mock judges. The students will receive feedback as to how they can improve their auditioning skills.

13 Monday 5:30 Emerald POINTE This class will work to add one foot releve, combat sickling on pointe, raising our extensions, and perfecting the eight facings of ballet. We will work to improve both our petite and grande allegro.

14 Monday 5:30 Sapphire PRE- POINTE This flat ballet class will focus on getting the dancers prepared for pointe work. We will work on correct body alignment, getting a high releve position, combat sickling of the foot, gaining strength in our core and turnout of our extensions.

17 Monday 3:30 Diamond/ Pearl BALLET Now that these dancers have reached the gemstone level they definitely need to keep up their training during the 6 week summer dance session. This ballet class will continue their classical training. We will study the 8 body facings, the turned out ballet pirouette and focus on petite allegro (fast, quick jumps)

18 Monday 4:30 Diamon/Pearl Competition Tap Our Pearl level dancers will be getting ready this summer for their competition debut in the Fall. This class will sharpen and hone their competition tap skills and prepare them for next year. We want to work on our speed, accuracy of sounds, correct arm placement and on learning quickly.

19 Tuesday 4:30 Pearl/Diamond Flex/ Conditioning and Basic Acro Skills Students will be led in a quick warm-up and then we will begin class with flex skills right split, left split, center split, heel stretch, back attitude hold plus many others. In the Acro section of class we will start with balance skills tripod stand, elbow stand, hand stand. We will also perfect our cartwheels, one handed cartwheels, back bends, standing up from a back bend, Front walkovers, back walkovers. Class size will be limited.

Dancers will not only be improving their Ballet Positions but taking their stage presence to the next level. We will also have fun in the second part of this class tapping. We will work on speed, stage presence and timesteps.

22 Tuesday 7:30 1/2 and 1/2 Graduates Jazz, Flex and Acro Our 1/2 and 1/2 Graduates will work on flexibility, jazz leaps and pirouettes. We will also introduce acro. The skills we will be conquering are standing back bend, forward roll with split layout, front walkover and back walkover.
