2 1. Congratulations to the Scholastic Bowl Team! They won the tournament on Saturday out of 16 teams. They went undefeated 10 games. Congratulations to Zayne Smalley for being named the top player out of 16 teams! 2. Congratulations to Girls Varsity Basketball Regional Champs! They play tonight at Oregon vs Sherrard High School at 7:30

3 3. Nice job WHS snow sculpting team! They earned 2nd place, Artist's choice and The Fred Gardner Award! #waytobravethecold! 4. Nice job to our wrestlers! Congrats to Bryce Faworski He got the decision over Le-Win to take 3rd. On to Champaign next weekend! Good luck Bryce

5 The WHS Library is celebrating Black History Month with a featured book display and activities for the month of February. Since this week we will also be celebrating Valentine s Day, the library is hosting the Winning is Sweet challenge. Each day a new trivia question will be announced in honor of Black History Month. Turn your answer into the WHS Library for a chance to win a free book of your choice & a sweet candy surprise! Multiple winners will be drawn each day. 7 The WHS Makerspace is NOW OPEN for student use! Stop by to set up a time to learn about the Cricut, 3D Printer and Sewing Machine. There is small or no cost to use these machines. Stop in the library for more information!

8 You will soon be signing the "19" for the Senior Class Shirt! Order forms will be distributed Tuesday, and orders are due Wednesday, Feb 13th to the TTop Shop box in the office. See Mrs. Thompson or Mrs. Behn with questions!

10 May 8th :Battle of the Books teams are now forming! Forms teams of 2-5 to read ten different books (divide the titles up). Teams, along with Mrs. Thompson, will travel to Harlem High School to answer Book Trivia questions for a chance at $100 gift card, and other countless prizes & books. Sign up in the WHS Library today with Mrs. Thompson!

11 Attention Students; Tractor Day is coming soon--march 22, 2019! Any student wishing to participate in Tractor Day 2019 will need to pick up a permission slip from the office, complete it and have it turned back in no later than 3/8/19.
