1 2017 Wenatchee High School Summer Athletic Programs Baseball No team summer plans. Boys will be playing Legion Baseball. Boy s Basketball Open Gym: Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 pm 6:30 pm & 6:30 pm 8 pm during months of June & July. The time slots rotate with the girls by week. Team Camp - June 9 th 11 th at the University of Montana. They will be renting vehicles to transport the kids. Summer Tournaments & Games Cashmere/WVC Tourney 2 Teams Date TBD; Chelan Summer Tournament June 23 rd 25 th ; Youth Camp - For Kids in Grades 1 st 8 th on June 27 th 29th at WHS Two Sessions. Grades 1 st 5 th Session 1 & Grades 6 th 8 th Session 2. Boy s & Girl s Golf Practice/Open Gym: The kids have open tee times at Three Lakes after 5:30 pm on weekdays. Boy s Soccer No summer plans Cheerleading Practice: Various Days in June & WHS See Attached Calendar. Cheer/Team Camp: June 24th Great Wolf Lodge Cross Country Running Open Gym/Running: June 19th July 28th from 7 to 8 am on Monday, Wednesday & Friday - Meet at WHS Track; Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Walla Walla Point Park/Pybus. Year Around Conditioning: August 1st August 18th from 7 to 8 am on Monday Friday - Meet at WHS Track

2 Dance Team Open Gym/Practice Days: May 23 rd August 30 th on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at WHS. Technique and Tumbling Dance Creations on Wednesdays starting on June 14 th August 9 th. Tumbling Dance Creations on June 24 th. Dance Dance Creations on June 22 nd & 23 rd. Officer Camp with Just For Mead High School, July 8 th 11 th. Summer dance camp with Precision Dance Camps, July 20 th -22 WHS. Fast Pitch No summer plans. Girls will be playing on select teams during the summer. Football Strength & Conditioning: Monday Friday from 7 9 am from June 12 th August 15 th. Freshman Orientation: June 13 th 17 th, 3:30 6 pm at WHS. Spring Practice Days: May 30 th June 1 st & June 5 th 9 th. Practices are after school and in the WHS & the Apple Bowl. Team Camp Practices: July 10 th 14 th from 6 9 pm at the Apple Bowl. Team Camp Hosted by WHS: July 16 th 20 th All Day; Using Orchard Gym, Pioneer Gym, Triangle Park, All WHS Fields, Apple Bowl, WHS Gyms, Portables at WHS, Locker Rooms and WHS Commons & Wrestling Room. 7 on 7: Theses will be scheduled on various dates during June & July.

3 General Athletics Weight Room: The weight room will be open in the morning and the afternoon on the schedule below once school gets out. All athletes wishing to use the weight room will need to be cleared through the athletic office. The weight room will be open beginning on June 14 th and the last day it will be open is July 31 st. 9:00 am 11:0 am Monday Thursday Dave Jagla, Supervisor 4:00 pm 6:00 pm Monday Thursday Krissy Richerson, Supervisor Girl s Basketball Open Gym: Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 pm 6:30 pm & 6:30 pm 8 pm during months of June & July. The time slots rotate with the boys by week. WHS Youth Camp: June 19 th 21 WHS. WHS Summer Shootout Tournament: June 23 rd 25 WHS. Cashmere Tournament: June 30 th July 1 st. Anacortes Summer Jam: July 21 st July 23 rd. Girl s Bowling No summer plans. The girls are encouraged to bowl on their own as often as possible. Girl s Soccer Open Gym/Practice: Practice will take place at the Apple Bowl on Mondays from 5:30 7 pm and Fridays from 8:30 10 am starting on June 12 th and going through July 31 st. Scrimmages: Scrimmages will be on Wednesdays from 6 8:30 pm at the Apple Bowl beginning on June 14 th and going until July 26 th. Weight Room: Every Wednesday starting on June 14 th August 16 th WVC Tournament: June 23 rd & 24 th Team Camp: July 18 th & 19 Eastern Washington University

4 Summer League: Wednesday evenings from 6 8:30 scrimmages June 14 th July 26 th, Cashmere, June 19 th, Moses Wenatchee, June 28 th, Cashmere, July 12 th and at Moses Lake on July 28 th. Retreat: Varsity only to Lazy F Retreat on August 26 th. Soccer Youth Camp: June 12 th 14 th in the Apple Bowl from 5 7 pm. Swimming No summer plans. Kids will be participating in club swimming. Tennis No summer plans. Kids will be playing at the WRAC. Track Open Gym/Running: June 19th July 28th from 7 to 8 am on Monday, Wednesday & Friday - Meet at WHS Track; Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Walla Walla Point Park/Pybus. Year Around Conditioning: August 1st August 18th from 7 to 8 am on Monday Friday - Meet at WHS Track Open gym for throwing events: Tuesdays & Thursdays starting on June 20 th and ending on July 27 th. One event throwing at a time. Kids that are not throwing their event on a given day will be given drills to work on. Kids will meet at the high school from 2:30 pm 3:45 pm. Camps: Pole Vault Camp: June 19 th 22 WHS Track. Volleyball Open Gym: Monday & Wednesday from 6-9 pm Team Camp: July 9 th 13 Wenatchee High School Youth Camp: June 14 th - 16 Wenatchee High School

5 Wrestling Open Gym: Monday Friday from 5 to 8 pm during the months of June & July Team Camp: Oregon State University from June 29 th July 2nd; Coaches will transport kids in District vehicles; athletes and coaches will stay in dorms and eat on campus at OSU; Team Camp: Cashmere High School from July 25 th 27 th. Coaches will transport kids in District vehicles.
